Stéphan Rizon (born February 24, 1987, in Agen, France) is a French singer who in 2012 won the inaugural season of '' The Voice: la plus belle voix'', the French version of the international '' The Voice'' reality television series. ''The Voice: la plus belle voix'' Rizon auditioned to the series singing "Rolling in the Deep from Adele in the blind audition episode broadcast on 3 March 2012 and only one of the four judges, Florent Pagny, turned his chair within the last few seconds of the song, whereas all three other judges Jenifer Bartoli, Louis Bertignac and Garou failed to hit their "Je vous veux" ("I Want You") buttons and he was included in "Team Florent". In the battle stage, Garou put him against a Team Florent contestant Jua Amir with both singing "Kiss" from Prince. Pagny chose Rizon to go the next round. Agen (, , ) is the prefecture of the Lot-et-Garonne department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Southwestern France. It lies on the river Garonne, southeast of Bordeaux. Yoann FreeJay (born as Yoann Fréget) is a French singer, and the winner of the French edition of the world-famous TV show: The Voice ('' The Voice: la plus belle voix),'' as part of Team Garou. He auditioned for the show singing Whitney Houston's 'The Greatest Love of All' with all four judges (Florent Pagny, Jenifer, Louis Bertignac and Garou) turning their chairs, along with a standing ovation from television studio's public. "You Raise Me Up" is a song composed by Rolf Løvland with lyrics by Brendan Graham. It was first recorded by Secret Garden, in collaboration with Brian Kennedy. Although the original version was not a major hit, the song has since been recorded by more than a hundred other artists, most notably American singer Josh Groban in 2003 and Irish group Westlife in 2005. Background Rolf Løvland composed an instrumental piece in 2001 and titled it "Silent Story". He later approached Irish novelist and songwriter Brendan Graham to write the lyrics to his melody, after reading Graham's novels. Lucio Dalla (; 4 March 1943 – 1 March 2012) was an Italian singer-songwriter, musician and actor. He also played clarinet and keyboards. Dalla was the composer of "Caruso (song), Caruso" (1986), a song dedicated to Italian opera tenor Enrico Caruso, and "L'anno che verrà" (1979). Beginnings Dalla was born in Bologna, Italy.
