Stuttgart Schwabstraße Station
Schwabstraße station is a subterranean railway station in Stuttgart, Germany. It is located west of the city centre in the district of Stuttgart-West, along ''Rotebühlstraße'' at the intersection with ''Schwabstraße''. The station originally formed the terminus of the first section of the Verbindungsbahn (Stuttgart), Connection line (), the original underground section of the Stuttgart S-Bahn. Several lines of the S-Bahn terminate at the station. It is notable for a 1.5 km long loop at the end of the station to allow S-Bahn trains to turn around. History Schwabstraße station was built in the course of the construction of the Stuttgart S-Bahn in the mid-1970s. The station was built using excavation from the surface and mining techniques for the terminal loop. Its construction proved to be very difficult. Vaihingen station is located on the Stuttgart–Horb railway in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is served by regional services and Stuttgart S-Bahn lines S1, S2 and S3. It is also a hub for public transport to the Filder plain. History The Royal Württemberg State Railways opened the Stuttgart–Horb railway of part of the Gäu Railway from Stuttgart to Freudenstadt together with Vaihingen auf den Fildern station on 2 September 1879. Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt Station
Bad Cannstatt station is the second largest station of the German city of Stuttgart after Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof and has eight platform tracks. Together with Stuttgart-Untertürkheim station, Untertürkheim station, it is the oldest station in Württemberg. Stuttgart Neckarpark station is in the German city of Stuttgart and is located at the chainage of 5.6 kilometres (measured from Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof) on the Fils Valley Railway and is a station on the network of the Stuttgart S-Bahn. History The Cannstatter Wasen ("Cannstatt grass") has been a fairground and exhibition area since the 19th century. Esslingen (Neckar) station is the most important station in the town of Esslingen am Neckar in the German state of Baden-Württemberg and is located from Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof on the Fils Valley Railway. Plochingen station is the only station in the town of Plochingen in the German state of Baden-Württemberg and the most important railway junction of the Esslingen (district), Esslingen district. Wendlingen (Neckar) station (formerly ''Unterboihingen'' station) is the only station in the town of Wendlingen in the German state of Baden-Württemberg and is a railway junction on the Plochingen–Immendingen railway from which the Teck Railway branches. Anhydrite
Anhydrite, or anhydrous calcium sulfate, is a mineral with the chemical formula CaSO4. It is in the orthorhombic crystal system, with three directions of perfect cleavage parallel to the three planes of symmetry. It is not isomorphous with the orthorhombic barium (baryte) and strontium ( celestine) sulfates, as might be expected from the chemical formulas. Distinctly developed crystals are somewhat rare, the mineral usually presenting the form of cleavage masses. The Mohs hardness is 3.5, and the specific gravity is 2.9. The color is white, sometimes greyish, bluish, or purple. On the best developed of the three cleavages, the lustre is pearly; on other surfaces it is glassy. When exposed to water, anhydrite readily transforms to the more commonly occurring gypsum, (CaSO4·2H2O) by the absorption of water.
