Strážek
Strážek () is a market town in Žďár nad Sázavou District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 800 inhabitants. Administrative division Strážek consists of six municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census): *Strážek (486) *Jemnice (73) *Krčma (2) *Meziboří (138) *Mitrov (139) *Moravecké Janovice (37) Geography Strážek is located about southeast of Žďár nad Sázavou and northwest of Brno. It lies in the Křižanov Highlands. The highest point is the Strážnice hill at above sea level. The Bobrůvka (river), Bobrůvka River flows through the market town proper. The Libochovka Stream flows through the village of Meziboří and supplies one of the largest fishponds in the area, the Mezibořský rybník. History The first written mention of Strážek is from 1358.
