Streamer Bass
The Streamer bass is a bass guitar manufactured by the Warwick (guitar manufacturer), Warwick company and launched in 1982. The headstock design was changed around 1985 to be replaced with the current style headstock, and the original one piece bridge was later changed to the two piece style seen in current Warwick basses. Since the 1990s, Streamer basses have used MEC Pickups, MEC pickups and electronics (on certain models, most often on Limited and Special Edition series, Seymour Duncan and Bartolini Pickups and Electronics, Bartolinis are used). Streamer LX The Streamer LX was added to the Warwick roster in 1996. The 4-string Streamer LX is equipped with a P/J-pickup configuration, the 5-string it equipped with a J/J-configuration and the 6-string is equipped with a dual humbucker setup. Warwick is a German bass guitar manufacturing company. Warwick basses were originally a premium brand offering a small range of models built from high quality and exotic tonewoods. The company also produces Bass amplifier, valve and FET amplifiers, speaker cabinets, strings (music), bass guitar strings, and is the owner of the Framus trademark. Their headquarters and custom shops are located in Markneukirchen, Shanghai, and Nashville. History Warwick was founded in 1982 in Erlangen, in the German state of Bavaria, by Hans-Peter Wilfer. Dan Lilker
Daniel Adam Lilker (born October 18, 1964) is an American musician best known as a bass player, but also guitarist, pianist, and vocalist. He has played bass in numerous heavy metal bands, including Anthrax, Nuclear Assault, S.O.D. and Holy Moses, and grindcore bands Brutal Truth and Exit-13. Biography Lilker was the bassist for the thrash metal band Nuclear Assault and was a founding member of Anthrax with Scott Ian. Lilker was then playing rhythm guitar and recorded bass guitar and co-wrote on their first album, '' Fistful of Metal'' (1984). Not long after the release of that album, he was dismissed from Anthrax and replaced on bass by one of the band's roadies Frank Bello. ''Bass Player'' was a magazine for bassists. Each issue offered a variety of artist interviews, lessons, and equipment reviews. The magazine was founded in 1988 as a spinoff of ''Guitar Player'' magazine, with Jim Roberts as its first editor. The original headquarters was in San Francisco, CA. It began as a regular edition magazine in 1990. The magazine was published by Future US, ''Bass Player'' held an annual event for bassists, Bass Player LIVE!. From 2004 until 2007 Bass Player LIVE! was held in New York City; from 2008 until 2017 it was held in Hollywood, California. The Spector Musical Instruments (or simply Spector) is an American manufacturer of instruments. Spector produces electric guitars, acoustic and electric bass guitars; however, it is best known for its solid-body electric bass guitars, particularly the NS-2. The company was founded in Brooklyn, New York by Stuart Spector in 1976. Its current headquarters are in Long Island, New York. Douglas Arthur Wimbish (born September 22, 1956) is an American bassist, primarily known for being a member of rock band Living Colour and funk/dub/hip hop collective Tackhead, and as a session musician with artists such as Sugarhill Gang, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, The Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger, Depeche Mode, James Brown, Annie Lennox, Tarja Turunen, and Barrington Levy (as well as his studio work for the rap/hip hop label Sugarhill Records and the experimental dub label On-U Sound). Justin Chancellor
Justin Gunnar Walter Chancellor (born 19 November 1971) is an English musician, best known as the bassist for rock band Tool, a position he has held since 1995. Prior to joining Tool, he played in a band called Peach. After settling in the US, along with his engagement in his musical projects, he and his wife Shelee Dykman Chancellor ran a store called Lobal Orning in Topanga, California, dedicated to music and literature "that shaped and changed" both of them. The store closed in 2008. He started M.T.Void music project with Piotr "Glaca" Mohammed from Sweet Noise. Early life Chancellor is of English and Norwegian descent. Shavarsh "Shavo" Odadjian (; born April 22, 1974) is an Armenian-American musician, best known as the bassist of nu metal band System of a Down. He also plays bass in a Trap music, trap group called North Kingsley and in the metal band Seven Hours After Violet. During System of a Down's hiatus from 2006 to 2010, Odadjian collaborated with Wu-Tang Clan founder RZA on a project called AcHoZeN, which contributed a number of songs to the motion picture ''Babylon A.D.'' George Alex Katunich (born August 18, 1976) is an American musician. He is best known as the founding bassist of the Californian band Incubus. He left the band in 2003. Since high school, Katunich has used the stage name of Dirk Lance. Personal life Katunich's paternal grandfather George was born in Indiana, to Croatian parents from the town of Ozalj. Thomas Michael Stevens (July 28, 1951 – March 10, 2024) was an American bass guitarist from New York City. He recorded and toured with an array of rock, R&B, and pop acts as a session musician and also worked as a solo performer. Career Early recordings and solo work Stevens, who sometimes went by the name Shaka Zulu, began his career playing bass in the group Space Cadets, with whom he released a self-titled album in 1981. Troy Jayson Sanders (born September 8, 1973) is an American musician, best known as the bassist and one of the vocalists of Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Mastodon (band), Mastodon. Kyle Sokol (born October 31, 1974) is an American bassist and skateboarder. He is currently with Nasty Savage, Astronomica, Nocturnus A.D., and Apeiron Bound. Kyle has also played with Disareyen, Mercy McCoy, Trace of Day, Sectioned, Rude Squad, King of Denmark, Noble Jones, Philistines, Leadfoot, and Hell on Earth.
