Strange Hobby is an uncredited cover album by Arjen Anthony Lucassen, released in 1996. The album and the booklet contained no information about Lucassen and did not explain who was responsible for the recordings, to make the album even more "strange". The album features covers of songs that have influenced Lucassen's musical development, mainly from the 1960s. As he did in his solo album ''Pools of Sorrow, Waves of Joy Pools of Sorrow, Waves of Joy is the debut solo album of Dutch composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist Arjen Anthony Lucassen, released under the name Anthony. Arjen Anthony Lucassen
Arjen Anthony Lucassen (born 3 April 1960) is a Dutch singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician and record producer best known for his long-running progressive metal/ rock opera project Ayreon. Lucassen started his career in 1980 as the guitarist and backing vocalist of Dutch band Bodine as Iron Anthony, before joining Vengeance in 1984. After eight years he left the band, wanting to go into a more progressive direction, and released two years later an unsuccessful solo album entitled ''Pools of Sorrow, Waves of Joy'' under the nickname Anthony. In 1995, Lucassen released an album uncredited to any artist called '' Ayreon: The Final Experiment'', in which he sang, wrote every song and played most of the instruments. It was first performed by Simon alone as the opening track on his album ''The Paul Simon Songbook'' which he originally recorded and released in August 1965, only in the United Kingdom. I Want You (Bob Dylan Song)
"I Want You" is a song recorded by Bob Dylan in 1966. Recorded in the early morning hours of March 10, 1966, the song was the last one recorded for Dylan's double-album ''Blonde on Blonde''. It was issued as a single that June, shortly before the release of the album. There were three complete takes of "I Want You", with the final take and a guitar overdub comprising the master. The recording session was released in its entirety on the 18-disc Collector's Edition of '' The Bootleg Series Vol. 12: The Cutting Edge 1965–1966'' in 2015, with the penultimate take of the song also appearing on the 6-disc and 2-disc versions of that album. "For No One" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1966 album '' Revolver''. It was written by Paul McCartney, and credited to Lennon–McCartney. A blend of baroque pop and chamber music, the song is about the end of a relationship, and was one of McCartney's most mature and poignant works upon its release. "Sunny Afternoon" is a song by the Kinks, written by chief songwriter Ray Davies. The track later featured on the '' Face to Face'' album as well as being the title track for their 1967 compilation album. Like its contemporary "Taxman" by the Beatles, the song references the high levels of progressive tax taken by the British Labour government of Harold Wilson. Kaleidoscope are an English psychedelic rock band from London that originally were active between 1967 and 1970. It is not to be confused with the American psychedelic folk band of the same name. The band's songs combined the elements of psychedelia with whimsical lyrics. The band were also known at various times as The Sidekicks, The Key, I Luv Wight and Fairfield Parlour. Peter James Daltrey (born 25 March 1946 in Bow, East London, England) is an English musician. He has been the lead singer and chief songwriter for the bands Kaleidoscope and Fairfield Parlour.
