Storm Sanders
Storm Hunter (née Sanders; born 11 August 1994) is an Australian professional tennis player. She reached List of WTA number 1 ranked doubles tennis players, world No. 1 in doubles on 6 November 2023, becoming the third Australian woman to hold the top spot. She also has a career-high singles WTA rankings, ranking of world No. 119 on 18 October 2021. Hunter won her first major title in mixed doubles at the 2022 US Open (tennis), 2022 US Open. She has also won eight doubles titles on the WTA Tour, one doubles title on the WTA 125 tournaments, WTA Challenger Tour as well as three singles titles and thirteen doubles titles on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, ITF Women's Circuit. Hunter debuted on the ITF Junior Circuit in December 2007, and on the senior circuit in November 2008. She won her first professional tournament in February 2013. 2023 Wimbledon Championships – Mixed Doubles
Mate Pavić and Lyudmyla Kichenok defeated Joran Vliegen and Xu Yifan in the final, 6–4, 6–7(9–11), 6–3 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. Kichenok won her first major title and became the first Ukrainian champion in Wimbledon history. Pavić won his third mixed doubles major title. Australia competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, previously known as the ITF Women's Circuit, is a series of professional tennis tournaments run by the International Tennis Federation for female professional tennis players.
