Stolichnaya
Stolichnaya () is a vodka made of wheat and rye grain. It originated in the Soviet Union in 1938. There are two versions of the vodka: the version found outside Russia is made in Latvia, while the version found inside Russia is made there. With the dissolution of the Soviet Union the ownership of Stolichnaya has been disputed between the Russian State-owned enterprise, state-owned company FKP Soyuzplodoimport and SPI Group, a private company chartered in Luxembourg. SPI Group have sold their version as Stoli since 2022. Name and logo The name ''Stolichnaya'' is pronounced in Russian . The word is the adjectival form of wikt:столица#Russian, столица (''stolitsa''), meaning "capital city". Soyuzplodoimport
Soyuzplodoimport () is a company based in Moscow. It owns the trademarks of different types of vodka, including the Stolichnaya and Moskovskaya (brand), Moskovskaya brands. The company also markets canned herrings under its Stolichnaya brand as part of a partnership with Russian Sea Group. Soyuzplodoimport was established in 1966 to import food items, including cocoa beans, coffee, spices and vegetables, and to export vodka. In 1969, Soyuzplodoimport granted trademarks registrations for the vodka brands "Stolichnaya", "Moskovskaya" and "Russkaya". The company was not privatized, and remained under state ownership in the post-Soviet era. The Four Seasons Hotel Moscow is a modern luxury hotel in Manezhnaya Square in the Tverskoy District, central Moscow, Russia. It opened on October 30, 2014, with a facade that replicates the Soviet Hotel Moskva of the 1930s (), which previously stood on the same location. It is located near Red Square, and in close proximity to the pre-revolutionary City Hall.
