William Stobart (born November 1961) is the Deputy Group CEO of Culina Group (owner of Eddie Stobart Limited). Career Stobart was born in Cumberland in England in November 1961, the fourth child of Eddie and Nora Stobart. He worked for the family business from his teenage years, joining the management of Eddie Stobart Ltd in 1986. Stobart was Chief Operating Officer of the Stobart Group from 2007 to 2014 and Chief Executive Officer of Eddie Stobart Logistics from 2014 to 2017. The Stobart Pullman was a railtour operator in the United Kingdom, operating Pullman train (UK), pullman type charter trains, as Stobart Rail Tours. The company was a subsidiary of Eddie Stobart Ltd. and was operated by Stobart's rail partner, Direct Rail Services (DRS). On 16 July 2008, the company released a statement on its website that "train operations have been suspended". It came under the Rail division of Eddie Stobart Logistics, and carried Intermodal freight transport, intermodal freight for the group. On 19 September 2006, Stobart Rail launched its inaugural daily freight service for a three-year deal to deliver cross-border goods for the British retailer Tesco. The service was initially operated by Direct Rail Services (DRS), which provided both the locomotives and traincrew; Stobart supplied the shipping container and depot facilities. The 1953 British Mount Everest expedition was the ninth mountaineering expedition to attempt the first ascent of Mount Everest, and the first confirmed to have succeeded when Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary reached the summit on 29 May 1953. Charles R. Stobart (October 27, 1932 – November 29, 2022) was an American college football player and coach. He played as a quarterback at Ohio University in the 1950s. He was a football coach at various schools for 42 years from 1959 to 2000, including 36 consecutive seasons as a coach at Division I collegiate programs. Stobart began his coaching career in 1959 as a high school coach in Ohio. His college coaching positions included stints as the head football coach at the University of Toledo (1977–1981), the University of Utah (1982–1984), and the University of Memphis (1989–1994). Thomas Ralph Stobart OBE (10 March 1914 – 29 November 1980) was a British cameraman, film-maker and author, notable for having shot ''The Conquest of Everest'', the official film of the 1953 British Mount Everest Expedition. Stobart was born in Darlington and was educated at St Bees School near Whitehaven, Cumberland. He attended Sheffield University and Cambridge University where he studied zoology. He made Army instructional films in India in World War II, went on a 1946 expedition to the Himalayas, and on an expedition to North Queensland. Florence Kathleen "Kathy" Stobart (1 April 1925 – 6 July 2014) was an English jazz saxophonist primarily known for playing the tenor sax. She was a well-respected figure in the history of jazz in Britain and became an inspiration, through her tutoring of music, to a whole new generation of younger female musicians. Early life Stobart was born in South Shields, County Durham (now Tyne and Wear), England, the third child of Matthew and Jessie Stobart, her mother was a pianist and her father was a police officer.
