Steven Hyden (born September 7, 1977) is an American music critic, author, and podcast host. He is the author of the books ''Your Favorite Band Is Killing Me'' (2016, on rivalries in pop music history), ''Twilight of the Gods'' (2018, on the history of classic rock), '' Hard to Handle'' (2019, co-authored with Steve Gorman about The Black Crowes), ''This Isn't Happening'' (2020, about Radiohead's '' Kid A'') and ''Long Road'' (2022, about Pearl Jam's influence on a generation). Appleton () is the county seat of Outagamie County, Wisconsin, United States, with small portions extending into Calumet County, Wisconsin, Calumet and Winnebago County, Wisconsin, Winnebago counties. It was created in 1996 by former '' New Republic'' editor Michael Kinsley, initially under the ownership of Microsoft as part of MSN. Never Ending Tour
The Never Ending Tour is the popular name for Bob Dylan's ongoing touring schedule which began on June 7, 1988. The tour amassed a huge fan base with some fans traveling from around the world to attend as many Dylan shows as possible. Dylan himself has been dismissive of the Never Ending Tour tag. He writes in the sleeve notes to his album '' World Gone Wrong'' (1993): Nevertheless, his touring schedule has continued to be referred to as the "Never Ending Tour" by most media outlets. According to Swedish researcher Olof Björner, Dylan played show number 2,000 of the Never Ending Tour on October 16, 2007, in Dayton, Ohio. He played show number 3,000 on April 19, 2019, in Innsbruck, Austria. The discography of the rock band the Grateful Dead includes more than 200 albums, the majority of them recorded live in concert. The band has also released more than two dozen singles and a number of videos. The Grateful Dead formed in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1965 amid the counterculture of the 1960s. Luminary is a subscription podcast network that launched on 23 April 2019. History It was launched by Luminary Media LLC, a venture-backed company, that was co-founded in 2018 by Joe Purzycki, and Matt Sacks. Woodstock 1999 (also called Woodstock '99) was a music festival held from July 21 to July 26, 1999, in Rome, New York, United States. After Woodstock '94, it was the second large-scale music festival that attempted to emulate the original 1969 Woodstock festival. Like the previous festivals, it was held in upstate New York; the festival site was the former Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, roughly northwest of the 1969 Woodstock site in Bethel. Approximately 220,000 people attended the festival over the 3 days MTV covered the festival extensively, and live coverage was available on pay-per-view. Westwood One held its radio rights. The Replacements (band)
The Replacements were an American rock music, rock band formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1979. The band was composed of the guitarist and vocalist Paul Westerberg, guitarist Bob Stinson, bass guitarist Tommy Stinson, and drummer Chris Mars for most of its existence. After two albums in the style of punk rock, they became one of the main pioneers of alternative rock with their acclaimed albums ''Let It Be (The Replacements album), Let It Be'' and ''Tim (The Replacements album), Tim''. Deftones
Deftones is an American alternative metal band formed in Sacramento, California in 1988. They were formed by frontman Chino Moreno, lead guitarist Stephen Carpenter and drummer Abe Cunningham, with bassist Chi Cheng and keyboardist and turntablist Frank Delgado joining the line-up in 1990 and 1999, respectively. The band's experimental nature has led some critics to describe them as "the Radiohead of metal".
