Steven Diez
Steven Diez (, ; born March 17, 1991) is a Canadian professional tennis player. He competed for Spain earlier in his career. Nationality change Raised primarily in and competing for Spain early in his career, he has since gone on to represent the country of his birth, Canada, in the Davis Cup. Diez was a member of the Canadian team that won the 2022 ATP Cup. Tennis career 2007 Diez competed in the main draw of two senior level ITF Futures tournaments in the autumn, losing both times in the first round. 2022 ATP Cup
The 2022 ATP Cup was the third and final edition of the ATP Cup, an international outdoor hard court men's team tennis tournament held by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). The tournament was part of the 2022 ATP Tour. Due to the uncertainties with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it was held at the Ken Rosewall Arena and the Sydney Super Dome in Sydney, from 1 to 9 January 2022 with 16 teams. Canada won the tournament, defeating Spain 2–0 in the final. On 7 August 2022, as a result of all three editions being very poorly attended and riddled with logistical issues, along with heavy financial losses, and disdain for the event from fans, players - particularly women's players - and officials, Tennis Australia announced that the ATP Cup would be shut down, to be replaced by a mixed-gender United Cup from 2023. José Checa Calvo
José "Pepe" Checa Calvo (born 2 April 1985) is a Spanish tennis coach and former professional player. Career Born in the town of Las Pedroñeras, Checa is a product of the Cuenca Tennis Club, where he trained with his elder sisters. He began competing professionally in 2003. Checa won 21 ITF singles titles during his career. On the ATP Challenger Tour, Checa was a Montauban Challenger, Montauban semi-finalist in 2006 and beat world number 78 Bjorn Phau at the Tampere Open in 2009. Marc López Tarrés (, ; born 31 July 1982) is a Spanish tennis coach and a former professional player. His career-high ATP singles ranking was world No. 3 in doubles, achieved in January 2013 and No. 106, achieved in May 2004. The ATP Tour (known as ATP World Tour between January 2009 and December 2018) is the sole worldwide top-tier tennis tour for men organized by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) founded in 1990 that replaced the earlier dual Grand Prix Circuit and WCT Circuit.
