Steve Fitzmaurice
Stephen Fitzmaurice is an Irish mixer and producer based in London, England. His credits include albums for Depeche Mode, Seal, Sam Smith, Ian Brown, Kylie Minogue, Mónica Naranjo, Sting, Paloma Faith, Olly Murs, The Kooks, Alicia Keys, U2, Hikaru Utada, Mr.Children, Edyta Gorniak. As a teenager, Fitzmaurice moved from Dublin to London, where he began working at Sarm Studios with producer Trevor Horn and mixer Julian Mendelsohn. He later moved to New York where he worked on records by Jodeci, Eric Clapton and young upcoming artists, including Timbaland and Missy Elliott. Since becoming a freelance mix engineer and producer, Fitzmaurice has won and been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards. Fitzmaurice co-produced and mixed the first ever Number One James Bond track and Oscar-winning song, " Writing's On The Wall". Sarm Studios is an independent recording studio in London. Originally founded in east London in 1973, the studio's original location was renamed Sarm East Studios in 1982 when Jill Sinclair and Trevor Horn purchased Basing Street Studios from Island Records and renamed it Sarm West Studios. Sarm Studios original locations were eventually succeeded by the Sarm Music Village complex. ''Great Expectations'' is the debut album by English singer-songwriter Tasmin Archer, released in late 1992 on EMI Records. The first single released from the album, "Sleeping Satellite", went to number one both in the UK and Ireland, while sitting just outside the top 10 in Germany (No. 12). Three more UK singles were released from the album in the wake of Archer's initial success: " In Your Care" (UK No. 16), " Lords of the New Church" (UK No. 26) and " Arienne" (UK No. 30). The album was later released in the United States on Capitol Records, and was mildly successful due to the single "Sleeping Satellite", which peaked at number 32 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Tasmin Archer
Tasmin Archer (born 3 August 1963) is a British pop singer from Bradford, England. Her first album, ''Great Expectations'', spawned the hit " Sleeping Satellite", which reached number one in the United Kingdom and Ireland. She won the Brit Award for British Breakthrough Act in 1993 and has since released three more studio albums. Early life Archer was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, to Jamaican parents. She attended Grange Upper School and, after leaving, first worked as a sewing machine operator. She attended Bradford College in 1980 to study typing, and later became a clerk at Leeds Magistrates' Court. Archer joined a group called Dignity as a backing vocalist, and played with different bands around the Bradford area. The Frames
The Frames are an Irish rock band based in Dublin. Founded in 1990 by Glen Hansard, the band has been influential in the Dublin rock music scene. The group has released six studio albums. In addition to Hansard, the band's current line-up includes original member Colm Mac Con Iomaire, Joe Doyle, and Rob Bochnik. "Falling Slowly" is an indie folk/indie rock song written, composed and performed by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová. It was featured on the soundtrack of the 2007 Irish musical romance film ''Once'', which starred Hansard and Irglová, and for which it won the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 80th Academy Awards. "Writing's on the Wall" is a song by English singer Sam Smith, written for the release of the 2015 James Bond film ''Spectre''. The song was released as a digital download on 25 September 2015.
