Stevan Ostojić
Stevan Ostojić (Serbian Cyrillic: Стеван Остојић; 20 August 1941 – 15 May 2022) was a Serbian professional footballer who played as a striker. Born just a few months following the start of World War II in Yugoslavia to father Spasoje who worked as a railroad engineer, young Ostojić grew up in Subotica where the family moved during the war. He began playing football during the mid-1950s when his older brother Ivan who already played with OFK Subotica took him to a training session. International career On the national level, Ostojić earned two caps and made his debut for Yugoslavia in an April 1964 friendly match against Bulgaria. His other international match came over seven years later, when he replaced Jovan Aćimović at half time in a friendly against Mexico. Ostojićevo
Ostojićevo (, ) is a village in Serbia. It is situated in the Čoka municipality, North Banat District, Vojvodina province. The village has a Serbs, Serb ethnic majority (56.15%) with a present Hungarians, Hungarian minority (26.51%) and its population numbering 2,844 people. The village also has a Polish people, Polish minority of about 300 people, of Cieszyn Silesian (mostly from Wisła) descent (2002 census). A train driver is a person who operates a train, railcar, or other rail transport vehicle. 1967–68 Mitropa Cup
The 1967–68 Mitropa Cup was the 28th season of the Mitropa football club tournament. It was contested by sixteen clubs from 15 European cities and 5 countries. Winner was Red Star Belgrade of Yugoslavia who beat Spartak Trnava of Czechoslovakia in the two-legged final 4–2 on aggregate. Notably, the first leg of the finals was scheduled to be held in Trnava on August 21, 1968, but was postponed due to the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia, which commenced on August 20, 1968 at 11 pm. Mitropa Cup
The Mitropa Cup, officially called Coupe de l'Europe Centrale, Mitteleuropäischer Pokal or Central European Cup, was one of the first international major European association football, football cups for club sides. It was conducted among the successor states of the former Austria-Hungary. After World War II in 1951 a replacement tournament named ''Zentropa Cup'' was held, but just for one season, the Mitropa Cup name was revived, and again in 1958 the name of the tournament changed to ''Danube Cup'' but only for one season.
