Sterling Bailey
Sterling Eugene Bailey (born September 13, 1992) is a former American football defensive end. He played college football at Georgia. Bailey was signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He has also been a member of the Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota Vikings, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, and Arizona Cardinals. Professional career Indianapolis Colts After going undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft, Bailey signed with the Indianapolis Colts on May 2, 2016. On September 3, 2016, he was waived by the Colts during final team cuts. Bailey was signed to the Colts' practice squad the following day. On September 26, 2016, he was released from the Colts' practice squad. Seattle Seahawks On October 4, 2016, Bailey was signed to the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad. Defensive End
Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an " end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. When most teams adopted a five-man line, two different styles of end play developed: "crashing" ends, who rushed into the backfield to disrupt plays, and "stand-up" or "waiting" ends, who played the more traditional containment style. Some teams would use both styles of end play, depending on game situations. The 2016 NFL Draft was the 81st annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible American football players.
