Stereos
Stereos is a Canadian pop rock band from Edmonton, Alberta, formed in 2008. Their musical style fuses aspects of electronic music, rock, and pop. Their breakout came from appearing on the MuchMusic original series, '' disBAND''. In October 2009, they released their debut self-titled album, '' Stereos''. Biography 2008–2009: Early days and record deal The band formed roughly two years prior to its 2008 appearance on disBAND under the name Stand By Me. After meeting disBAND Guru Greig Nori, Stand By Me was advised to change their name due to copyright issues. Turn It Up was chosen. Later, in order to perform several shows in Toronto, Ontario, Universal Music Canada A&R rep Mark Spicoluk advised the band to change their name again, and the band chose the name Stereos. "Summer Girl" is the debut single by Canadian pop band Stereos, written by Patrick Kordyback from their self-titled debut album. It was the song they performed on MuchMusic's disBAND reality show, which led them to being signed by Universal Canada. It was released as a single in 2009. Mark Spicoluk is a Canadian content creator, yoga instructor, musician, podcaster, and entrepreneur. He is best known as co-creator and yoga teacher for the lifestyle brand Boho Beautiful, his time as bass player with Avril Lavigne, and as the vocalist and bassist for the punk rock band Closet Monster. From 2012 to 2015 he appeared as a judge on YTV's '' The Next Star''. He is also known as the founder of the indie record label Underground Operations, and his production credits on albums by artists such as Protest the Hero, Abandon All Ships, Stereos and DVBBS. Along with his musical and business accomplishments, he is also a strong animal rights and social justice advocate. Faber Drive is a Canadian pop punk band from Mission, British Columbia, formed in 2004. The band consists of lead vocalist Dave Faber, lead guitarist Jordan Pritchett, bass guitarist Jeremy "Krikit" Liddle and drummer Seamus O'Neill. ''Disband'' (stylized as ''disBand'') is a Canadian reality show that was produced and broadcast by MuchMusic that arranged and permitted aspiring music acts an opportunity to garner industry attention and achieve a recording contract. It was hosted by Sarah Taylor and Devon Soltendieck and was usually narrated by the lead singer of the featured band. Overview Each episode featured a band that was coached by a music industry veteran and at the end performed for a panel of judges. ''The Show Must Go'' is the third studio album by Canadian pop rock group Hedley. It is the first album by the band that drops their pop-punk / emo sound for more of a Pop rock sound, It was released on November 17, 2009, in Canada. The album was successful, producing three top 20 singles, with the lead track, " Cha-Ching", and eighth track, "Perfect" both hitting the top 10. Gene Simmons (born Chaim Witz; ; born August 25, 1949) also known by his stage persona "The Demon", is an Israeli-born American musician.
