Stephen Garlick
Stephen Garlick (born 7 July 1959) is a British actor best known as the voice of Jen in '' Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal''. His career has centered on film, television and radio. At the age of five he attended the famous Corona Academy stage school. As most children of his age he did a few television commercials. In 1965 he featured in a documentary called ''A Day of Peace'', directed by noted film director Peter Collinson. Garlick had a non-speaking part as a small boy with a potty stuck on his head in ''Carry On Doctor'' (1967). He appeared in two films in the 1960s made by the Children's Film Foundation. He played the part of Dan in '' The Boy from Space'', one of the Look and Read serials for BBC Schools. This was released on DVD by the British Film Institute. Stockwell
Stockwell is a district located in South London, part of the London Borough of Lambeth, England. It is situated south of Charing Cross. History The name Stockwell is likely to have originated from a local well, with "stoc" being Old English for a tree trunk or post. From the thirteenth to the start of the nineteenth century, Stockwell was a rural manor at the edge of London. It included market gardens and John Tradescant's botanical garden – commemorated in Tradescant Road, which was built over it in 1880, and in a memorial outside St Stephen's church. Dennis Waterman (24 February 1948 – 8 May 2022) was an English actor and singer. He was best known for his tough-guy leading roles in television series including ''The Sweeney'', ''Minder (TV series), Minder'' and ''New Tricks'', singing the theme tunes of the latter two. Scrooge (1970 Film)
''Scrooge'' is a 1970 musical film adaptation of Charles Dickens' ''A Christmas Carol'' (1843). It was directed by Ronald Neame, and starred Albert Finney as Ebenezer Scrooge. The film's score was composed by Leslie Bricusse and arranged and conducted by Ian Fraser. The film was a follow-up to another Dickens musical adaptation, 1968's award-winning '' Oliver!''. Both films were shot by Oswald Morris and many of the sets at Shepperton Studios were reused for ''Scrooge''. The posters for ''Scrooge'' included the tagline, "What the dickens have they done to Scrooge?", designed to head off any criticism of an all-singing, all-dancing old skinflint. ''Jackanory'' was a BBC children's television series which was originally broadcast between 1965 and 1996. It was designed to stimulate an interest in Reading (activity), reading. The programme was first transmitted on 13 December 1965, and the first story was the fairy-tale "Cap-o'-Rushes" read by Lee Montague. ''Jackanory'' was broadcast until 1996, with around 3,500 episodes in its 30-year run. The final story, ''The House at Pooh Corner'' by A. A. Milne, was read by Alan Bennett and broadcast on 24 March 1996. The programme was briefly revived on 27 November 2006 for two one-off stories. The format was revived as ''Jackanory Junior'', airing on CBeebies between 2007 and 2009. is a Japanese animated fantasy adventure feature film, the 10th cinema feature produced by Tōei Animation (then Tōei Dōga), released in Japan in 1967. The Radio Drama Company is a company of actors formed by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in 1939, at the beginning of the Second World War. It is sometimes referred to as RDC, or the Rep, a survival from its original name, the Drama Repertory Company. James Maury Henson (September 24, 1936 – May 16, 1990) was an American puppeteer, animator, actor, and filmmaker who achieved worldwide notability as the creator of the Muppets.
