Joannes Evangelista Benedictus Maria "Jan-Benedict" Steenkamp (born June 12, 1959) is a marketing professor and author. He is the Knox Massey Distinguished Professor of Marketing at Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also the co-founder and executive director of AiMark, a global center studying key marketing strategy issues. Steenkamp is the author of ''Time to Lead'', ''Retail Disruptors'', ''Global Brand Strategy'', ''Brand Breakout'' and ''Private Label Strategy''. He is one of the most cited scholars in business and marketing. Reeva Rebecca Steenkamp ( ; ; 19 August 1983 – 14 February 2013) was a South African model and paralegal. She modelled for '' FHM'' magazine and was the first face of Avon cosmetics in South Africa. Steenkamp once worked as the live roaming presenter for FashionTV in South Africa and starred in television advertisements for Toyota Land Cruiser, Clover Industries, Redds and Aldor Pin Pop. She was a celebrity contestant on the BBC Lifestyle show ''Baking Made Easy'' in 2012 and on ''Tropika Island of Treasure'' season 5 which aired on SABC 3 in February 2013. On Valentine's Day 2013, Steenkamp was shot dead by her boyfriend, Oscar Pistorius, at his home in Pretoria. He stated that he thought Steenkamp was an intruder hiding in the bathroom. Michiel de Kock Steenkamp (born 16 February 1987), is a South African professional rugby union player whose regular position is a lock. He played for in the Currie Cup and the in Super Rugby between 2009 and 2014. Early life Steenkamp was born and raised in the Western Cape alongside older brother Wilhelm who went on to play for the , , and in Super Rugby. He attended Paarl Boys' High School and matriculated in 2005 before going on to study at Stellenbosch University. College In 1989, Steenkamp entered the College of Boca Raton on a soccer scholarship. Steenkamp was a 1989, 1991 and 1992 First Team NAIA All American soccer player. In 1989 and 1990, Boca Raton finished runner-up in the NAIA national men's soccer championship. Gurthrö Garth Steenkamp (born 12 June 1981 in Paarl) is a former South African Rugby union player. He plays loosehead prop. Steenkamp had previously played for the Free State Cheetahs (Currie Cup) the Bulls and the Cats (Super 14). He made his debut for the Springboks in late 2004 against Scotland. During the 2005 Tri Nations he seemed to have cemented his place in the Springboks with a strong performance against the Wallabies at Ellis Park. A broken hand at the end of the tournament stalled his career for the Springboks. Steenkampsberg () is a South African mountain in the Dullstroom - Belfast district of Mpumalanga Province. The mountain ranges between 1,700 and 2,274 metres in altitude, and is covered largely by high-altitude grassland, broken in places by rocky outcrops.
