Starrcast
Starrcast is a professional wrestling fan convention promoted by Conrad Thompson. The event typically runs for four days— from Thursday to Sunday – and features wrestlers, wrestling personalities and podcast hosts, interviews, fan activities, and meet-and-greets. History Thompson originally had the idea of a fan convention during the NWA Legends Fanfest in 2017, but it was cancelled. Later in December, Thompson pitched the idea to Cody Rhodes (one of the founders of AEW) and was intrigued by the idea of a wrestling podcast convention. After some talks, Thompson emailed him the itinerary and Cody told Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson (two-thirds of the founders of All In) and he told Thompson they liked it. The event would be compared to WrestleCon that is held during WrestleMania weekend. Ric Flair's Last Match was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event and supershow. It took place on July 31, 2022, at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee and aired on FITE TV, FITE and In Demand. The event was produced and promoted by Conrad Thompson and David Crockett (wrestling), David Crockett under the banner of Jim Crockett Promotions (JCP) as part of the Starrcast V convention, and was the first card promoted under the JCP banner since 1988. Ric Flair headlined the event in the advertised final match of his 50-year career, teaming with his then son-in-law Andrade El Idolo to defeat Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. Conrad Thompson
Conrad Channing Thompson (born June 27, 1981) is an American mortgage broker, professional wrestling promoter, and podcast host who presents and co-hosts numerous wrestling oriented podcasts, and promotes the Starrcast wrestling convention. Podcasting Beginnings Thompson's interest in podcasting began after meeting ECW wrestler Shane Douglas, whom Thompson met after pledging a significant amount of money to a crowdfunding drive for a documentary about ECW. After a positive experience with Douglas, Thompson later approached wrestling manager Jim Cornette with an offer of $1,500 in exchange to come to his house and tell stories for a couple of hours. The 2018 All In was an independent professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event promoted by Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) in association with Ring of Honor (ROH). At the time, Rhodes and the Jacksons had been a part of the Bullet Club of New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and ROH. The event took place during Labor Day weekend on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at the Sears Centre Arena in the Chicago suburb of Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The event aired live on traditional PPV outlets, FITE TV, and Honor Club, but it was later made available for on-demand viewing on the NJPW World streaming service. Global Force Wrestling was an American professional wrestling promotion founded in 2014 by Jeff Jarrett, the co-founder and former President of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, and his wife Karen Jarrett. It was owned and operated via its parent company Global Force Entertainment, LLC. The promotion ran several live events and tapings for a potential television show.
