''Star Terk II'' is a BBC comedy radio show, broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in the 1980s. Sketch comedy comprises a series of short, amusing scenes or vignettes, called "sketches" or, "skits", commonly between one and ten minutes long, performed by a group of comic actors or comedians. While the form developed and became popular in music hall in Britain and vaudeville in North America, today it is used widely in variety shows, as well as in late night talk shows and even some sitcoms. Jeffrey Holland (actor)
Jeffrey Holland (born Jeffrey Michael Parkes, 17 July 1946) is a British actor from Walsall, England, who is well known for roles in television sitcoms, playing comic Spike Dixon at the 'Maplin's holiday camp' in ''Hi-de-Hi!'', as well as BBC Radio comedy, including ''Week Ending''. He also played leading roles in the sitcoms '' You Rang, M'Lord?'' and ''Oh, Doctor Beeching!''. Holland was a major part of the David Croft repertoire. Susie Blake (born 19 April 1950) is an English television, radio and stage actress. She is best known for her portrayal of the snobbish TV announcer in '' Victoria Wood: As Seen on TV'' and of Bev Unwin in ''Coronation Street'', a role she played between 2003 and 2006, before a brief return in 2015. Fred Harris (born 7 May 1947) is a British comedian and children's television presenter. Formerly a Teacher education, schoolteacher, he began his television career as a presenter of the BBC children's programme ''Play School (British TV series), Play School'', on which he appeared regularly between 1973 and 1988. During this time he was also a presenter on ''Ragtime (TV series), Ragtime'' and ''Chock-A-Block''.
