Stanisław Radwan
Stanisław Radwan (10 March 1939 – 14 October 2023) was a Polish composer. Life and career Born in Bieńkówka, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Bieńkówka, the son of an organist, Radwan studied piano and composition at the Academy of Music in Kraków under Krzysztof Penderecki. He later got a scholarship to study in Paris, where he enrolled in courses given by Pierre Schaeffer and Olivier Messiaen. Starting from 1960, he penned over 200 compositions for theatre and cabaret, and served as the musical director at the Ateneum Theatre in Warsaw from 1963 to 1966, and as the theatre director of the Helena Modrzejewska National Old Theater in Krakow from 1980 to 1990. His collaborations include Andrzej Wajda, Konrad Swinarski, Jerzy Jarocki, Krystian Lupa, Zygmunt Hübner, Tadeusz Bradecki. Tadeusz Bradecki
Tadeusz Bradecki (2 January 1955 – 23 January 2022) was a Polish actor and stage director. He died on 23 January 2022, at the age of 67. Biography He was born on 2 January 1955 in Zabrze. In 1977 he graduated from the Krakow Higher Theatre School. From the same year he worked at the Stary Theatre in Krakow (from 1990 to 1996 artistic director). Since 1998 — member of the Union of Theatres of Europe. Collaborated with the National Theatre in Warsaw. In 2001 he was awarded the Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz National Prize for popularizing Polish theatre culture abroad. Since 2003 he worked as artistic director of the Silesian Theatre in Katowice. Wojciech Jerzy Has (1 April 1925 – 3 October 2000) was a Polish film director, screenwriter and film producer. Early life and studies Wojciech Jerzy Has was born in Kraków. Has himself was agnostic. However, his family on both sides was Roman Catholic, although he was a philosemite. He had Jewish roots on his father's side, and Roman Catholic on his mother's. The name ''Has'' is the Hollandic, Yiddish and Germanised Jewish surname ''Haas'' (האָז), meaning ''hare'' in English. During the wartime German occupation of Poland, Has studied at the Kraków Business and Commerce College and later clandestine underground classes at the Kraków Academy of Fine Arts – until it was disbanded in 1943. When the war ended, he went on to study at the reconstituted Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. In 1946, Has completed a one-year course in film and began producing educational and documentary films at the Warsaw Documentary Film Studio, and in the 1950s moved on to work at Polan ...
