Stal Rzeszów Municipal Stadium
The Stadion Miejski Stal w Rzeszowie () is a 12,000-capacity motorcycle speedway and association football stadium in the southern area of Rzeszów, Poland. The stadium staged the 2025 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship, U-19 Women’s Euro final in 2025. The venue is used by the speedway team Stal Rzeszów (motorcycle speedway), Stal Rzeszów, who compete in the Team Speedway Polish Championship and the football clubs of Stal Rzeszów (football), Stal Rzeszów and Resovia (football), Resovia. History Speedway arrived at the stadium in 1955 following the construction of a track surrounding a pitch, with the first speedway match taking place on 22 May 1955. It was not until 2012 that major renovation began with a new east stand being built to add to the existing grandstand. Rzeszów ( , ) is the largest city in southeastern Poland. It is located on both sides of the Wisłok River in the heartland of the Sandomierz Basin. Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four clockwise, anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of soil, dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). Competitors use this surface to slide their machines sideways, powersliding or broadsiding into the bends. On the straight sections of the track, the motorcycles reach speeds of up to . 2025 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship
The 2025 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship is the 22nd edition of the UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship, the annual international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the women's under-19 national teams of Europe. Currently held in Poland, the country hosted the tournament after the original host Belarus was stripped from hosting rights due to the country's involvement of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Similar to the previous editions held in odd-numbered years, the tournament will act as the UEFA qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. The top five teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Poland as the UEFA representatives besides Poland who automatically qualified as host. If Poland finished in the top four, the team that would be ranked fifth and sixth in the final stage would also qualify. Stal Rzeszów is a Polish motorcycle speedway club. The team currently competes in the Polish Speedway Second League (2. Liga) and have won the Team Speedway Polish Championship twice. History 1948 to 1959 The first speedway in Rzeszów was held at the Resovia stadium in 1948. The club made their league debut during the 1949 Polish speedway season under the name RTKM-Gwardia Rzeszów. The Team Speedway Polish Championship ( Polish: ''Drużynowe Mistrzostwa Polski, DMP'') is an annual speedway event held each year in different Polish clubs organized by the Polish Motor Union (PZM) since 1948. In 2000, the First Division was renamed Ekstraliga, and the number of teams was reduced. The team winning the league is awarded a gold medal and declared Polish Team Champions. Resovia Rzeszów, commonly referred to as Resovia, is a Polish professional association football club from Rzeszów, Subcarpathian Voivodeship. It is part of the multi-sports club CWKS Resovia, and is one of the oldest football clubs in Poland. As of the 2025–26 season, they compete in the II liga.
