The album provides an overview of the band's time with Bronze Records and also includes four newly recorded tracks. It is the final album the band released on Bronze Records, with the new material being the first to feature the band's new line-up of Lemmy, Phil Campbell, Würzel, and Pete Gill. Recording After touring in support of their 1983 album ''Another Perfect Day'', guitarist Brian "Robbo" Robertson and drummer Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor left Motörhead and eventually decided to form a new band together called Operator. Killed By Death (single)
"Killed by Death" is a song by the English heavy metal band Motörhead. Released in 1984, in 7" and 12" vinyl pressings. It peaked at number 51 in the UK Singles Chart. Promotion To assist its promotion in the United States, Bronze/Island pressed a 12" promo version for radio play (identical versions on both sides). It is one of the most difficult to find of all Motörhead items. There is also a video made for the track, directed by the manager of the Plasmatics, Rod Swenson, which was banned by MTV for "excessive and senseless violence". Despite relatively high-profile exposure on TV programmes such as Channel 4's ''The Tube'', the single failed to make any significant impression on the UK Singles Chart. This proved particularly disappointing to Lemmy, who at live shows regularly made joking references about its lack of sales. Releases The original song is not included on any official release albums except the compilation album '' No Remorse'', along with three other new so ...

Eat The Rich (Motörhead Song)
"Eat the rich" is a political slogan associated with anti-capitalism and left-wing politics, especially including anarchism. The phrase is commonly attributed to political philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, from a quote first popularized during the French Revolution: "When the people shall have nothing more to eat, they will eat the rich". It may variously be used as a metaphor for class conflict or a demand for wealth redistribution, and thus often finds usage in socialist and progressivism, progressive politics. The Federal Bureau of Investigation associates the phrase with "anarchist violent extremism" (AVE), while noting that ''"the use or sharing of these symbols or phrases alone should not independently be considered evidence of AVE presence or affiliation or serve as an indicator of illegal activity."'' History Origin Pierre Gaspard Chaumette, President of the Paris Commune (French Revolution), Paris Commune, gave a speech to the city during the Reign of Terror on 14 O ...

It is the second and final album to feature the four-piece lineup of Lemmy, Phil Campbell, Würzel, and Mikkey Dee, as Würzel left the band after the album's recording. Recording Motörhead reunited with producer Howard Benson for ''Sacrifice''. "This is a very good album", vocalist and bassist Lemmy wrote in the sleeve notes, "Put it in your system and your girlfriend's clothes fall off." Lemmy views ''Sacrifice'' as one of his favourite records the band has made, despite the difficulties involved, which he explained as: In the documentary ''The Guts and the Glory'', all three band members express regret over Würzel's departure, but insist it was inevitable, with drummer Mikkey Dee commenting: Dee added in 2021 that Würzel's wife was to be blamed for his departure from the band, calling her a "bitch." 1916 (album)
''1916'' is the ninth studio album by British rock band Motörhead, released in January 1991. It was their first on WTG Records. The single " The One to Sing the Blues" peaked at number 45. The album was the final Motörhead album to feature Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor on drums in its entirety. Background In 1990, Motörhead frontman Lemmy moved from England to the U.S., settling in West Hollywood within walking distance of the Rainbow Bar and Grill. With Phil Carson managing the band, the sessions for what would become the album ''1916'' began with Ed Stasium, best known for producing the Ramones, Talking Heads, and Living Colour. The band recorded four songs with the producer before deciding he had to go. When Lemmy listened to a mix of ''Going to Brazil'', he asked him to turn up four tracks, and on doing so heard claves and tambourines Stasium had added without the band's knowledge. Stasium was fired and Pete Solley hired as producer. Kilmister, Ian Fraser and Garza, Jani ...
