Staffordshire Women Cricket Team
The Staffordshire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Staffordshire. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, including Tunstall Road, Knypersley and are captained by Stephanie Butler. In 2019, they played in Division Three of the final season of the Women's County Championship, and have since competed in the Women's Twenty20 Cup. They are partnered with the West Midlands regional side Central Sparks. History Staffordshire Women joined the Women's County Championship in 2000, replacing West Midlands Women, and won Division 2 in their first season, going unbeaten and gaining promotion. Staffordshire were relegated two seasons later, and reached as low as Division Four in 2008. Stephanie Butler
Stephanie Butler (born 23 April 1994) is an English cricketer who currently captains Staffordshire. An all-rounder, she is a left-handed batter and right-arm off break bowler. She has previously played for Central Sparks and North West Thunder, as well as spending one season with Yorkshire and two seasons as part of the Yorkshire Diamonds squad in the Women's Cricket Super League. Early life Butler was born on 23 April 1994 in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Domestic career Butler made her county debut in 2010, for Staffordshire against Scotland. In 2012 she took her best Twenty20 bowling figures, taking 4/9 in a victory over Lancashire. A strong performance in the 2014 Women's County Championship, where she took 12 wickets at an average of 16.08, led to Butler being called up to the England squad for their Test match against India as an injury-replacement for Rebecca Grundy. Davina Perrin
Davina Sarah T Perrin (born 8 September 2006) is an English cricketer who currently plays for Staffordshire and Northern Superchargers. She plays as a right-handed batter. Early life and education Perrin was born in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. Her father, David, played minor county cricket for Staffordshire; her own cricket club is Fordhouses in Wolverhampton. In 2024, she graduated with a sport BTEC for which she had studied at Edgbaston. Domestic career Perrin made her county debut in 2021, for Staffordshire against Worcestershire. In the 2022 Women's Twenty20 Cup, she was the fourth-highest run-scorer across the entire competition, with 242 runs at an average of 34.57. She made 87 from 75 deliveries in Staffordshire's victory over Berkshire. Danni Wyatt
Danielle Nicole Wyatt-Hodge (; born 22 April 1991) is an English cricketer who plays for Surrey, Southern Brave, England and Royal Challengers Bangalore. She plays as an all-rounder, batting right-handed and bowling right-arm off break. She made her England debut against India in Mumbai on 1 March 2010. Early career Wyatt-Hodge is a right-handed opening/middle order batter and off break bowler. She played for Staffordshire Ladies and Meir Heath Women in the Northern Premier League, having moved from Gunnersbury at the end of the 2012 season, as well as men's club cricket for her local club Whitmore. England Women's National Cricket Team
The England women's cricket team represents England and Wales in international women's cricket. Since 1998, they have been governed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), having been previously governed by the Women's Cricket Association. England is a Full Member of the International Cricket Council, with Test, One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) status. 2024 ECB Women's County One-Day
The 2024 ECB Women's County One-Day was an English women's cricket 50-over domestic competition. It took place between April and July 2024, with 34 teams taking part, organised into four regional groups. It was the first nationally-organised 50-over women's county competition since the 2019 Women's County Championship, and ran alongside the Women's Twenty20 Cup. There was no overall winner, with Lancashire, Leicestershire and Rutland, Devon and Sussex winning their individual groups. The 2024 Women's Twenty20 Cup, known for sponsorship reasons as the 2024 Vitality Women's County T20, was the 15th edition of the Women's Twenty20 Cup, an English women's cricket Twenty20 domestic competition. It took place between May and August 2024, with 35 teams taking part, organised into four regional groups. It ran alongside the ECB Women's County One-Day. Derbyshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Warwickshire won their regional groups, with Derbyshire winning the competition at the National Finals. Format Teams played matches within a series of regional groups, playing four matchdays, with most matchdays consisting of two matches per team. Matches were played using a Twenty20 format. West Midlands Regional Cup
The West Midlands Regional Cup is a domestic women's one-day cricket competition in England. Organised by the Central Sparks regional team, the tournament involves four teams based in or near the West Midlands, with its first edition taking place in 2022. Staffordshire, Wales, Warwickshire and Worcestershire are the four teams competing, with Warwickshire also playing "in a consortium" with Shropshire. Following the end of the Women's County Championship in 2019 and the launching of the new regional structure for domestic women's cricket in England in 2020, county sides were left without any 50-over cricket. The 2019 Women's County One-Day Championship was the 23rd cricket Women's County Championship season. It ran from late April to the beginning of June and saw 32 county teams and teams representing Scotland, Wales and the Netherlands compete in a series of divisions. Kent Women won the County Championship as winners of the top division with Yorkshire finishing runners-up. This is the record eighth Championship for Kent. The tournament was followed by the 2019 Women's Twenty20 Cup and then by the 2019 Women's Cricket Super League, a professional tournament competed for by franchise teams. 2016 Women's County Championship
The 2016 Women's County One-Day Championship was the 20th cricket Women's County Championship season. The Championship was won by Kent who recorded their seventh championship, setting a new record for the number of championships won. The runners-up were Sussex. This was the last season in which Division 4 was contested. Following a reorganisation of the structure of the tournament, all the teams in Division 4 were promoted to an expanded Division 3 in 2017. Evelyn Jones (born 8 August 1992) is an English cricketer who currently plays for Lancashire and Manchester Originals. She plays primarily as a left-handed opening batter, as well as bowling left-arm medium.
