The Constantin Anghelache Stadium, known until 2012 as ''Letea Stadium'', is a multi-purpose stadium in Bacău, Romania. Since 27 September 2012, the stadium is named Stadionul Constantin Anghelache in the honor of the former coach who founded the High School of Football Bacău, which was the first football high school with a football program from Romania and also coached children and juniors, teaching and forming generations of players from Bacău, 67 of them reaching the senior or junior national teams of Romania. Bacău ( , , ; hu, Bákó; la, Bacovia) is the main city in Bacău County, Romania. At the 2016 national estimation it had a population of 196,883, making it the List of cities and towns in Romania, 12th largest city in Romania. Clubul Sportiv Municipal Bacău, commonly known as CSM Bacău, is a Romanian professional football club based in Bacău, Bacău County. Asociația Sportivă a Suporterilor FCM 1950 Bacău, commonly known as ASS FCM 1950 Bacău, FCM 1950 Bacău or simply as FCM Bacău, is a Romanian football club based in Bacău, Bacău County. Asociația Club Sportiv Gauss Bacău, commonly known as Gauss Bacău (), or simply as Gauss, is a Romanian football club based in Bacău, Bacău County. Constantin Anghelache
Constantin Anghelache (1 May 1920 – 28 September 2015) was a Romanian football midfielder, manager and a World War II veteran. Life and career Constantin Anghelache joined Unirea Tricolor București after being seen by coach Petre Steinbach at a school competition. He played all the minutes in all 24 matches of the 1940–41 season, in which Unirea Tricolor won the championship. According to former coach Gheorghe Constantin, during the period Anghelache was a member of the fascist Iron Guard, often donning the organization's characteristic green shirt. He was a student at the National University of Physical Education and Sport (ANEFS), graduating in 1942. During his college years at ANEFS he became one of the best alpine skiers from the university, a performance which convinced the Romanian royal family to hire him to be Prince Michael's ski instructor.
