Stade Ernest-Argelès
Ernest-Argelès stadium is a French Rugby football stadium with a capacity of 4,000 seats located in Blagnac (in the close vicinity of Toulouse). Description Ernest-Argelès stadium is located on the sports complex of Ramier. It has the particularity of being close to the Garonne River on the opposite bank from the Ernest-Wallon Stadium of the Stade Toulousain. Rugby Union clubs Blagnac SCR, in the third division, and Blagnac Saint-Orens RF, in the women's Premier division, play there their home games. Stade des Minimes, also known Stade Arnauné, is a rugby league stadium in Toulouse, France. It is the home ground of Toulouse Olympique Broncos. History Stade des Minimes has been the home of Toulouse Olympique since their founding in 1937. The town council agreed to purchase the ground for the sole use of the new sport, rugby league. When the river Garonne burst its banks in 1965 a test match between France and New Zealand scheduled for the Stade Municipal in Toulouse was cancelled because of flooding, the game was moved across town to the Stade des Minimes the first international game played at the ground. The same thing happened in 1999 when a round of matches in the Mediterranean Cup was moved when Lézignan's Stade du Moulin was also waterlogged. The Rugby Football League Championship, (known as the Betfred Championship for sponsorship reasons) is the second highest division of rugby league in British rugby league system, Britain (with one team in the league also being based in France) after the Super League. Toulouse Olympique or TO XIII is a professional rugby league club in Toulouse, south-west France. Founded in 1937, two years after the French Rugby League Federation, the club is a six-time winner of the French Rugby League Championship. Blagnac SCR
Blagnac Rugby, previously known as Blagnac Sporting Club Rugby and commonly known as Blagnac, is a French rugby union team that currently takes part in Nationale, the third-tier of the countries rugby system. The club is currently attempting to make a comeback to the professional ranks after having been relegated due to both sporting and financial issues. In 2007-08, the club played in France's second professional level, Rugby Pro D2, but finished bottom of the table. This automatically led to their relegation to the first amateur level, Fédérale 1, but a postseason audit revealed financial problems serious enough that French sporting authorities forcibly relegated them further to Fédérale 2.
