St. Stanislaus High School is a Private school, private primary and secondary school for boys located in Bandra, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Founded in 1863 by German Jesuit priests as an orphanage, the institution later grew to be a full-fledged school for day-scholars as well as boarders and now has more than 2,300 students from KG-10. The school is spread over a campus of approximately , making it one of the largest schools (by area) in Mumbai. Bandra ( æːɳɖɾa is a coastal suburb located in Mumbai, the largest city of the Konkan division in Maharashtra, India. The area is located to the immediate north of the River Mithi, which separates Bandra from the Mumbai City district. It is the third-largest commercial hub in Maharashtra, after the Mumbai City and Pune, primarily aided by the Bandra Kurla Complex. Before the opening of Khar Road railway station on 1 July 1924, Bandra was a larger area and included the present day Khar neighbourhood. Viren Rasquinha
Viren Wilfred Rasquinha (born 13 September 1980) is an Indian former field hockey player and captain of the Indian national team. He was a member of the team that competed at the 2004 Athens Olympics. He quit international hockey in 2008 to pursue management studies at the age of 28. Early life Rasquinha was born in 1980 to Eric and Merlyn Rasquinha. He studied at St. Stanislaus High School in Bandra, Mumbai, then graduated with a B.Com from MMK College in Bandra. His father was an engineer, his mother, a doctor at the Bombay Municipal Corporation, and his brothers are engineers. Lawrence Pereira
Flt Lt Lawrence Frederic Pereira (10 June 1945 – 14 December 1971) was an Indian air force officer. He was the recipient of the Vir Chakra, India's gallantry award presented for acts of bravery in the battlefield. Air Force career Pereira began his training on 10 March 1963 at Air Force Administrative College in Coimbatore. He was commissioned on 10 August 1964, in the 80/90th Pilots course. Lawrie attended several training programs, courses and posting. The first posting to a fighter squadron after his commissioning was to No. 220 Squadron IAF, No.220 Squadron at Pune. He actively participated in 1965 India-Pakistan War, 1965 war with Pakistan. After this he was posted to a Gnat Fighter Unit. He was promoted to Flight Lieutenant in 1968 and trained on the Sukhoi Su-7, Sukhoi-7 beginning in 1970. He was posted to Adampur Air Force Base and later to No. 26 Squadron IAF.
