St. Peter, Wisconsin is an unincorporated area, unincorporated census-designated place in the Taycheedah, Wisconsin, Town of Taycheedah in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. It is located approximately northeast of Peebles, Wisconsin, Peebles and south of Silica, Wisconsin, Silica. It was located on Wisconsin Highway 149 before the highway was decommissioned and turned over to county control as County Highway WH. As of the United States Census, 2010, 2010 census, its population is 1,489. Wisconsin Highway 149
State Trunk Highway 149 (Highway 149, STH-149 or WIS 149) was a state highway in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It ran through of Manitowoc, Calumet, and Fond du Lac counties. History In 1923, WIS 149 ran from WIS 57 (today's WIS 32/WIS 57) in Kiel to WIS 17 (then US 141, now Westview Street east of today's I-43) in St. Wendel (now Cleveland). In 1938, part of the route near Kiel was straightened to follow today's County Trunk Highway XX (CTH-XX). In 1947, WIS 149 was extended westward to US 151/WIS 55 (now just US 151) in Peebles, superseding CTH-U, CTH-I, and a part of CTH-HH. Also, WIS 149 was extended eastward via Westvie Street and Washington Street to present-day CTH-LS just west of the shore of Lake Michigan. In 1979, WIS 149 was removed east of the newly built I-43. Mount Calvary, Wisconsin
Mount Calvary is a village in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 762 at the 2010 census, down from 956 residents at the 2000 census. History Mount Calvary's location was chosen by missionary Casper Rehrl; he selected the large hill because of its excellent view and he placed a wood cross. Starting in 1846, settlers started building houses at the base of the hill. The Holyland is an American region located mainly in northeastern Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin and southern Calumet County. The area is known for its distinctive agricultural landscape, a close-knit community life, and deep Roman Catholicism brought by Germans who first settled the region in the 1840s. The area has been studied as an example of chain migration. It has been called "The Holyland" since at least 1898. Calumet County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 52,442. The county seat is Chilton.
