St. Mochta's F.C. is an List of association football clubs in the Republic of Ireland, Irish association football club based in Clonsilla, Dublin. Their senior team play in the Leinster Senior League Senior Division. They also regularly compete in the FAI Cup, the FAI Intermediate Cup, the FAI Junior Cup and the Leinster Senior Cup (association football), Leinster Senior Cup. History St. Mochta's were founded in September 1949 when founder Barth O'Brien put a motion to the AGM of the St. Mochta's Branch of the Catholic Young Men's Society (CYMS) that a football section be formed within the branch. At the time, it was unsure exactly what type of ''football'' the club would play, considering that it could mean association football, rugby union, rugby football, or gaelic football. Bristol Rovers
Bristol Rovers FC is a men's professional football club in Bristol. The team competes in , the fourth tier of the English football league system. The club is affiliated to Bristol Rovers W.F.C., whose team play in the FA Women's National League. Rovers was founded in 1883 as Black Arabs F.C. and entered the Bristol & District League as Eastville Rovers in 1892. They moved to Eastville Stadium in 1897, when they joined the Birmingham & District League. Two years later, now called Bristol Rovers, they joined the Southern League. Philip Hughes (born 12 September 1981) is an Irish footballer who plays as a forward for St. Mochta's in the Leinster Senior League. He was selected on the Professional Footballers' Association of Ireland Team of the Year on several occasions, as well as being selected as the overall "Player of the Year". As of 2018, Hughes had played with eleven different League of Ireland teams, including Dundalk, Monaghan United and Shelbourne for several spells. Darius Lipsiuc (born 16 September 2005) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Stoke City. Club career St Patrick's Athletic Lipsiuc joined the academy of League of Ireland Premier Division club St Patrick's Athletic in the summer of 2021, having previously played for his local club in Clonsilla at St Mochta's, where he had played since the age of 9. Mark Kennedy (footballer, Born 1976)
Mark John Kennedy (born 15 May 1976) is an Irish football coach and former professional footballer and most recently the head coach of EFL League Two club Swindon Town. As a player, he was a left back and left winger from 1992 to 2012. He notably featured in the Premier League with Liverpool, Wimbledon, Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers, as well as in the Football League for Millwall, Queens Park Rangers, Crystal Palace, Cardiff City and Ipswich Town. Glen Crowe (born 25 December 1977) is an Irish former professional football forward. He was a prolific goalscorer in the League of Ireland Premier Division and has represented the Republic of Ireland national football team on two occasions.
