Srikandi (foaled 10 October 2010) is a retired Thoroughbred racehorse trained in Australia. She won the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap and Tattersall's Tiara. She won over two million dollars. Career Ridden by Craig Williams, Srikandi had her first race on September 13 2013, winning by a length over the 1000 metre course. After 3 trials early in 2014, and then a narrow loss at Moonee Valley, Srikandi had an easy win at Mornington. This was to be the first of five consecutive victories. On 3 May, she won her first listed race. Three weeks later, she won the Group 3 Glenlogan Park Stakes in a "dominant" performance. Jockey Glen Boss said, "I wanted to see how good she was today and she didn't disappoint me. Coming out of the gates she was looking to relax and I could've ridden her behind the others without any trouble at all which is great from a future viewpoint." Dubawi
Dubawi (foaled 7 February 2002) is a retired Thoroughbred racehorse and active sire. Background Dubawi is a bay horse with no white markings bred in Ireland by Sheikh Mohammed's Darley Stud. He was one of the only crop of foals sired by Dubai Millennium, an outstanding racehorse. His dam, Zomaradah was a top class racemare who won the Oaks d'Italia, E. P. Taylor Stakes, Premio Lydia Tesio and the Royal Whip Stakes. As a descendant of the broodmare Sunbittern, Zomaradah, who also produced the Lancashire Oaks winner Emirates Queen, was closely related to In the Wings, High-Rise and Virginia Waters. The colt raced in the blue colours of Godolphin and was trained by Saeed bin Suroor. He was ridden in all but one of his races by Frankie Dettori. The Stradbroke Handicap is a Brisbane Racing Club Group 1 Thoroughbred open handicap horse race, run over a distance of 1,400 metres at Eagle Farm Racecourse, Brisbane in June during the Queensland Winter Racing Carnival. It is one of the highlight races on the Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival with total prize money of A$1,500,000 History The race is named after Lord Stradbroke, relative to Henry John Rous, originator of the weight-for-age scale in thoroughbred racing. Kerrin McEvoy
Kerrin McEvoy (born 28 October 1980) is an Australian jockey who is best known for winning three Melbourne Cups. In Europe, McEvoy rode several big winners for Godolphin including Rule of Law in the St Leger Stakes at Doncaster in 2004 and Ibn Khaldun in the Racing Post Trophy, also at Doncaster in 2007. McEvoy rose to fame by riding Brew to victory in the 2000 Melbourne Cup. He won his second Melbourne Cup in 2016, riding Almandin to victory, and in 2018 he won his third Melbourne Cup, riding Cross Counter to victory. Craig Williams (jockey)
Craig Williams (born 23 May 1977) is a Victoria, Australia based jockey. He has won multiple group one races in Australia and worldwide, including the 2019 Melbourne Cup. Williams rode his first race in 1993. In 2011, he almost achieved a unique Australian horse racing triple, in winning the Caulfield Cup, Cox Plate and Melbourne Cup. After winning the first two on Southern Speed and Pinker Pinker respectively, Williams was suspended for careless riding during the 2011 Bendigo Cup. The horse he was scheduled to ride in the Melbourne Cup, Dunaden, went on to win with last-minute replacement jockey Christophe Lemaire on board. In the 2012 Caulfield Cup, Williams rode Dunaden to an unprecedented victory.
