Sri Lankan Cricket Team In The West Indies In 2020–21
The Sri Lanka cricket team toured the West Indies during March and April 2021 to play two Test matches, three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The Tests formed part of the inaugural 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship, and the ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. In February 2021, Sri Lanka's coach Mickey Arthur and batsman Lahiru Thirimanne returned positive COVID-19 tests. This resulted in several media reports stating that the tour had been postponed. Kraigg Brathwaite
Kraigg Clairmonte Brathwaite (born 1 December 1992) is a Barbados, Barbadian cricketer and former Captain (cricket), captain of the West Indian cricket team, West Indies in Test cricket. He is a right-handed batsman and occasionally bowls off breaks. On 6 November 2011, he became only the second West Indian to score two Test fifties before his 19th birthday when he made 63 against India in Delhi. One Day International
One Day International (ODI) is a format of cricket, played between two teams with international status, in which each team faces a fixed number of fifty overs, with the game lasting up to 7 hours. The World Cup, generally held every four years, is played in this format. They are major matches and considered the highest standard of List A, limited-overs competition. The international one-day game is a late-twentieth-century development. The first ODI was played on 5 January 1971 between Australia and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Fidel Henderson Edwards (born 6 February 1982) is a Barbadian cricketer, who played all formats of the game. A pace bowler, his round-arm action is "not unlike" that of former fast bowler Jeff Thomson but similar to the bowling action of Lasith Malinga of Sri Lanka. Limited overs cricket, also known as white ball cricket, is a version of the sport of cricket in which a match is generally completed within one day. The Sri Lankan cricket team toured Pakistan in September and October 2019 to play three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against the Pakistan cricket team. The tour originally had two Test matches scheduled to take place, but these were moved to December 2019. Separamadu Lasith Malinga (; ; born 28 August 1983) is a Sri Lankan former cricketer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest limited overs bowlers of all time. Mickey Arthur
John Michael Arthur (born 17 May 1968) is a South African-Australian cricket coach, commentator and former cricketer, who played in South African domestic cricket from 1986 to 2001. He has served as the head coach of the Derbyshire County Cricket Club since November 2021.
