Sri Lankan Cricket Team In New Zealand In 1990–91
The Sri Lankan national cricket team toured New Zealand January to March 1991 and played a three-match Test cricket, Test series against the New Zealand national cricket team. The series was drawn 0–0. New Zealand were captained by Martin Crowe and Sri Lanka by Arjuna Ranatunga. In addition, the teams played a three-match series of Limited Overs Internationals (LOI) which New Zealand won 3–0. Sri Lankan National Cricket Team
The Sri Lanka men's national cricket team, (; ) nicknamed The Lions, represents Sri Lanka in men's international cricket. It is a full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with Test cricket, Test, One-Day International (ODI) and T20 International (T20I) status. The team first played first class cricket (as Ceylon) in 1926–27 and became an associate member of the ICC in 1965. Willie Watson (New Zealand Cricketer)
William Watson (born 31 August 1965) is a former New Zealand cricketer. A right-arm fast-medium bowler, Watson played 15 Tests and 61 One Day Internationals for New Zealand between 1986 and 1994. He took his best Test bowling figures of 6 for 78 against Pakistan in Lahore in October 1990. Watson played first-class cricket for Auckland from 1984–85 to 1994–95. Shane Thomson
Shane Alexander Thomson (born 27 January 1969) is a former New Zealand international cricketer. He played as a genuine all-rounder, making 19 Test and 56 One Day International appearances for New Zealand. Thomson was born in Hamilton, Waikato in 1969. Thomson made his test debut against India in 1990 scoring 42 runs not out in the second innings. He had to wait for another year to play test cricket again, this time against Sri Lanka. He scored 36 and 55 in the second test and scored 80 not out in the second innings of the third test. Thomson had some good form on the 1994 tour to South Africa. Graeme Labrooy
Graeme Fredrick Labrooy (; born 7 June 1964) is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who played in nine Test matches and 44 One Day International from 1986 to 1992. He was the chairman of selectors for the national team and currently serves as an international match referee. His younger brother Wendell Labrooy is also a first-class cricketer and match referee. Christopher Lance Cairns (born 13 June 1970) is a former New Zealand cricketer and former ODI captain, who played for the New Zealand cricket team as an all-rounder. Ian David Stockley Smith (born 28 February 1957) is a New Zealand cricket and rugby commentator and former cricketer. He played as a wicket-keeper for New Zealand throughout the 1980s and part of the 1990s. Early life Ian Smith was born in Nelson, New Zealand to a family of keen golfers. Upul Chandika Hathurusingha (; born 13 September 1968) is a Sri Lankan cricket coach and former player. He represented the Sri Lanka national cricket team from 1991 to 1999 as an all-rounder. Steve Dunne (cricket Umpire)
Robert Stephen Dunne (born 22 April 1943) is a former New Zealand cricket umpire and a former first-class cricketer. He was the first umpire to officiate in 100 One Day International matches. Career Dunne was born at Dunedin in Otago in 1943. He is married with two sons. Before becoming an umpire, he played in one first-class match for New Zealand Under-23s in March 1966 and five first-class matches for Otago in the Plunket Shield in 1968/9 as a left-arm medium-paced bowler. Seddon Park is a cricket ground in Hamilton, New Zealand. It is the fourth-largest cricket ground in the country, and is renowned for its "village green" setting, affording a picnic atmosphere for spectators.
