Spring Creek (Dent County, Missouri)
Spring Creek is a stream in Dent County, Missouri, Dent County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of Dry Fork (Meramec River), Dry Fork. The stream headwaters arise south of Salem, Missouri, Salem just north of Missouri Route K and west of Missouri Route 19 (at ). The stream flows to the north then turns east passing under route 19 on the south edge of Salem. It then turns north passing under Missouri Route 32 just east of Salem then turns northwest passing under Missouri Route 68, combined routes 68-19. It continues to the northwest for about five miles to its confluence with Dry Fork (at ). Spring Creek was named for the fact it is a spring-fed stream at its source. Dent County is a county in Missouri. As of the 2020 census, the population was 14,421. The largest city and county seat is Salem. The county was officially organized on February 10, 1851, and is named after state representative Lewis Dent, a pioneer settler who arrived in Missouri from Virginia in 1835. Missouri Route 32
Route 32 is a highway in Missouri. Its eastern terminus is at the Mississippi River near Ste. Genevieve; its western terminus is at U.S. Route 54 in El Dorado Springs. It is currently one of the longest highways in the state. Most of the highway east of Lebanon is hilly and curvy, passing through a large part of the Missouri Ozarks.
