Sportivo Huracán is a Peruvian football club, based in the city of Arequipa, Peru. The club was founded on January 12, 1927. Sportivo Huracán now plays in the Copa Perú, which is the third division of the Peruvian league after deciding to no longer participate in the Peruvian Segunda División. History The club was the 1973 Copa Perú champion, defeating Cienciano, Colegio Nacional Iquitos, and Octavio Espinoza de Ica in the process. The club once played in the Torneo Descentralizado, the highest level of Peruvian football league, until 1973 when the team opted to move down a division. In the 2010 Copa Perú, the club qualified to the National Stage, but was eliminated by Alianza Unicachi of Puno in the quarterfinals. Club Sport Áncash is a Peruvian football club, playing in the city of Huaraz. Sport Áncash was founded on April 22, 1967. The team plays its home games at Rosas Pampa stadium. History Beginnings The club was founded in 1960 by a group of young men from Huaraz and Chacas in Ancash. The team was named Sport Áncash after the street where many of the players lived which disappeared after the 1970 Ancash earthquake. The club was re-established on April 22, 1967 as ''Club Deportivo Comunitario Laboral Sport Áncash'' by one of the local labor unions. The club played for many years in the liga distrital de Huaraz. 1973 Torneo Descentralizado
The 1973 Torneo Descentralizado was the 57th season of the Peruvian Primera División and the ninth season of the Torneo Descentralizado. It was won for the first time by Defensor Lima. Sportivo Huracán, Atlético Torino, José Gálvez, and Deportivo SIMA were relegated. Competition modus Eighteen teams competed against each other at home and away for a total of 34 rounds. At the end of the 34th round, four teams were relegated and the top six teams in the league table played an additional 5 rounds against each other at a neutral venue which was the Estadio Nacional. Once these 5 rounds concluded, the champions and runners-up qualified to the 1974 Copa Libertadores.
