Sporting Club Bengaluru, also known as SC Bengaluru (nicknamed The Golden Tigers), is an Indian professional Association football, football club based in Bangalore, Karnataka. The club currently competes in the I-League, the second tier of the Indian football league system#Men's, Indian football league system, and the BDFA Super Division. The club was founded in the year 2022 by Tony Sohi (UK), Kulbir Sohi (UK), Adrian Wright (UK) and Kishore S Reddy (India). History SC Bengaluru made its debut in the 2022–23 BDFA Super Division. They clinched the title in their inaugural season ahead of their closest rivals FC Bengaluru United, attaining 46 points in 18 games. With their win, they closed on a spot in the 2023–24 I-League 3, the newly formed fourth tier of the Indian football league system. Golden Tiger
A golden tiger, sometimes called a golden tabby tiger, is a Bengal tiger with a colour variation caused by a recessive gene. Like white tigers and black tigers, it is a polymorphism (biology), morph, and not a separate subspecies. Known for its blonde or pale-golden color and red-brown (not black) stripes, the golden tiger colouring comes from a recessive trait referred to as "wideband" which affects the production of black during the hair growth cycle. Tiger colorations that vary from the typical orange-with-black-stripe do occur in nature, but in a very small percentage. Captive breeding lines All golden tabby tigers in captivity seem traceable to a white tiger called Bhim, a white son of a part-white Amur tiger named Tony.
