Spišské Bystré, known officially until 1948 as Kubachy (, ) is a large village and municipality of the Poprad District in the Prešov Region of northern Slovakia. History In historical records, the village was first mentioned in 1294. Geography The municipality lies at an elevation of and covers an area of . It has a population of approximately 2,400 people. Spišské Hanušovce
SpiÅ¡ské HanuÅ¡ovce (, , , ) is a village and municipality in Kežmarok District in the PreÅ¡ov Region of north Slovakia. Geography The municipality lies at an altitude of 614 metres and covers an area of 14.296 km² . It has a population of about 780 (2016) people. History In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1313. Locals have been engaged in forestry and sawmilling. Before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, SpiÅ¡ské HanuÅ¡ovce was part of Szepes County within the Kingdom of Hungary. From 1939 to 1945, it was part of the Slovak Republic. Spišské Podhradie
Spišské Podhradie (, ) is a town in Spiš in the Prešov Region of Slovakia. Its population is 3,775. Spišské Podhradie is situated at the foot of the hill of Spiš Castle. It had a Zipser German settlement, with its own church and priest, in 1174. Just above, and adjacent to, the town is the ecclesiastical settlement of Spišská Kapitula (hence an old German name ''Kirchdorf'', meaning "church town"). The town contains a number of Renaissance merchants' houses. It also has one of the few remaining synagogue buildings (now disused) in the region. The Sivá Brada cold water spring is located nearby.
