The Spiritwood Incident was a shooting that occurred on July 7, 2006, during a police pursuit in Saskatchewan, Canada, killing two of the three RCMP officers involved. It began in the town of Spiritwood, a community of about 1,000 people located approximately northwest of Saskatoon, and ended near Mildred, approximately away. Spiritwood is a town in the boreal forest of central Saskatchewan, Canada with a population of approximately 1,000. Its location is west of Prince Albert and about northeast of North Battleford at the junction of Highway 3, Highway 24, and Highway 376.
