Spink () is a small village in County Laois, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is situated near the County Kilkenny, Kilkenny border on the R430 road, R430 Regional road (Ireland), regional road. Sports Spink GAA is the local Gaelic Athletic Association club. James Spink (30 May 1890 – August 1943) was an English professional footballer who played in the Football League for Newcastle United as a right half. Solomon (), also called Jedidiah, was the fourth monarch of the Kingdom of Israel and Judah, according to the Hebrew Bible. Nigel Spink
Nigel Philip Spink (born 8 August 1958) is an English football coach and former professional footballer. He played as a goalkeeper from 1976 until 2001. He made his name at Aston Villa and also made one appearance for England at international level on the tour of Australia in 1983. He also played in the Football League for West Bromwich Albion and Millwall, and at non-league level for Chelmsford City and Forest Green Rovers, the latter he would go on to manage between 2000 and 2002. Spink later worked as a goalkeeping coach for Birmingham City, Wigan Athletic, Sunderland and Bristol City. Clifford Rodney Spink (born 17 May 1946) is a retired senior Royal Air Force officer, who is now a Spitfire display pilot on the national air display circuit. The first Spitfire he ever flew belonged to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, during his tenure as Station Commander of RAF Coningsby. He also served as the 23rd Commandant of the Royal Observer Corps, the last but one officer to hold the post. Ian Spink
Ian Spink (8 October 1947 – 11 October 2023) was an Australian-British choreographer. Life and career Born in Melbourne on 8 October 1947, Spink trained at the Australian Ballet School. After graduating in 1968, he danced and choreographed for The Australian Ballet, Australian Dance Theatre and the Dance Company of New South Wales. In 1974, he was offered a grant to tour with Merce Cunningham's dance troupes when they toured Australia. He then moved to London in 1977, and remained in the UK for the rest of his life.
