Special Forces Regiment (Philippines)
The Special Forces Regiment (Airborne) is a Special Operations Forces unit of the Philippine Army. The unit is based on and continually trains with its American counterpart, the Special Forces (United States Army), U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Berets). The basic combat organization of the Special Forces is the 12-man Special Forces Team. An SF Team will have at least one of each SF Military Occupational Specialty present in the team, these include Intelligence, Demolition, Weapons, Communication and Medical. It is based at Fort Ramon Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija. History In 1960, then Captain Fidel V. Ramos, Captain Fidel V. Ramos PA (INF), Lt. David Abundo Jr., Capt. Cesar Batil and Capt. 1st Scout Ranger Regiment
The Scout Rangers, known officially as the First Scout Ranger Regiment, is a special operations forces of the Philippine Army (PA) that is specialized in combat patrols and scouting behind enemy lines in a special operations forces (SOF) style. The 11th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, also called the Alakdan Division, is one of the Philippine Army's infantry units in Mindanao. Currently still forming, the Division is expected to complete its equipment and manpower requirements by 2022. Philippine Civic Action Group
The Philippine Civic Action Group – Vietnam (PHILCAG–V) was the Armed Forces of the Philippines contingent sent to the Republic of Vietnam or South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. This was an answer by the Philippine government to the request made by South Vietnam and the United States for combat troops. While combat troops were sent, the main mission given to PHILCAG was in the area of pacification, civic engagement, engineering, and medical missions. At its peak, the PHILCAG-V had more than 182 officers and 1,882 enlisted personnel cantoned at the Tay Ninh Combat Base.
