ZX Spectrum
The ZX Spectrum () is an 8-bit home computer that was developed by Sinclair Research. It was released in the United Kingdom on 23 April 1982, and became Britain's best-selling microcomputer. Referred to during development as the ''ZX81 Colour'' and ''ZX82'', it was launched as the ''ZX Spectrum'' to highlight the machine's colour display, which differed from the black and white display of its predecessor, the ZX81. RAM Music Machine
RAM Music Machine was a hardware add-on for the ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC 464/664 released in 1986. It was more advanced than the earlier SpecDrum and it could play melody samples, drum patterns or be used as an echo machine. One could sample sounds in 19,444 samples a second and use them. Cheetah Marketing was a United Kingdom-based company that produced electronic music-related hardware products and software for home computer systems during the 1980s. They later changed their name to Cheetah International Ltd. Based in Cardiff, Cheetah was run by two brothers, Howard and Michael Jacobson, but owned by Cannon Street Investments. The company was closed in 1993 when the UK recession badly hit the share price of its owners. A clap is the percussive sound made by striking together two flat surfaces, as in the body parts of humans or animals. Unbelievable Truth were a British rock band, led by Andy Yorke, with Nigel Powell, Jason Moulster, and Jim Crosskey. Andy Yorke (born 10 January 1972) is an English musician and former lead singer and guitarist for the band Unbelievable Truth. He is the younger brother of Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke. Early life Yorke began singing when he was ten. At the age of sixteen, Yorke met Nigel Powell at Abingdon School, with whom he would eventually form the band Unbelievable Truth. The name of the band was inspired by Hal Hartley's 1989 movie of the same name. At this time, Yorke also began learning Russian. He traveled to the Soviet Union in 1987, at the age of 15. Yorke studied Russian at university, and spent a year living in Moscow during 1992–1993. He returned to Moscow in 1996 to work as a translator for Greenpeace. Jonathan Richard Guy Greenwood (born 5 November 1971) is an English musician and composer. He is the lead guitarist and keyboardist of the alternative rock band Radiohead, and has written numerous film scores. Along with his elder brother, the Radiohead bassist Colin, Greenwood attended Abingdon School in Abingdon near Oxford, England, where he met the future band members.
