Space Babies
"Space Babies" is the first episode of the fourteenth series of the British science fiction television programme ''Doctor Who''. It was written by Russell T Davies and directed by Julie Anne Robinson. The episode was released alongside the next episode, " The Devil's Chord", on BBC iPlayer in the United Kingdom on 11 May 2024 and in the United States on Disney+ on 10 May 2024. A broadcast on BBC One followed later in the evening on 11 May. The episode, which takes place immediately after the events of " The Church on Ruby Road", follows an alien time traveller known as the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and his companion Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson), as they travel to a space station and discover a baby farm. Together, they learn that the babies are under threat by a creature dubbed "the Bogeyman". Davies wrote "Space Babies" as a soft reboot, to serve as an introductory episode for new viewers. Ncuti Gatwa
Mizero Ncuti Gatwa ( ; born 15 October 1992) is a Rwandan-Scottish actor. After a screen Breakthrough role, breakthrough portraying Eric Effiong in Sex Education (TV series), ''Sex Education'' (2019–2023), he rose to further prominence as the Fifteenth Doctor in ''Doctor Who'' (2023–2025). He began his career on stage at the Dundee Repertory Theatre and was nominated for an Ian Charleson Award for his performance as Mercutio in a 2014 production of ''Romeo & Juliet'' at HOME (Manchester), HOME. "The Church on Ruby Road" is an episode of the British Science fiction on television, science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. The episode was broadcast on BBC One on 25 December 2023 as the fourteenth List of Doctor Who Christmas and New Year's specials, Christmas special since the show's revival in 2005. Green River is a city in and the county seat of Sweetwater County, Wyoming, United States, in the southwestern part of the state. The population was 11,825 at the 2020 census. TARDIS
The TARDIS (; acronym for "Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space") is a fictional hybrid of a time machine and spacecraft that appears in the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'' and its various spin-offs. While a TARDIS is capable of disguising itself, the exterior appearance of the Doctor's TARDIS typically mimics a police box, an obsolete type of telephone kiosk that was once commonly seen on streets in Britain in the 1940s and 50s. Alison Rumfitt is an English author. She has published two horror novels: ''Tell Me I'm Worthless'' (2021) and '' Brainwyrms'' (2023). A reboot usually discards continuity to re-create its characters, plotlines and backstory from the beginning. It has been described as a way to "rebrand" or "restart an entertainment universe that has already been established".
