Soğuksu Railway Station
Mustafa Kemal station (), known as Soğuksu station until 2013, is a railway station on the Marmaray commuter rail line, in Istanbul, Turkey. It is located in Cumhuriyet neighborhood of Küçükçekmece district. The station is situated on İstasyon Street, east of Lake Küçükçekmece. The station was opened on 4 December 1955 for the start of Istanbul suburban, commuter service between Sirkeci railway station, Sirkeci and Halkalı railway station, Halkalı. In 2013, the station was closed down when commuter service was temporarily suspended for the rehabilitation of the railway and its stations. It was demolished and rebuilt with an expected opening date of 2015. However, due to numerous delays, the station did not reopen until 12 March 2019. Soğuksu is located from Sirkeci station, and from Halkalı station. Lake Küçükçekmece
Lake Küçükçekmece () is a lagoon located between the Küçükçekmece, Esenyurt and Avcılar districts of the European portion of Istanbul Province, northwestern Turkey. The lake is neighbored in the south by state road D.100 and in the north by the O-3 motorway (European route E80). The proposed controversial Istanbul Canal is intended to pass through the lake, though the so-called construction of the canal has been in-halt ever since its construction started by ceremony back in 2021. Sirkeci railway station (), listed on maps as Istanbul railway station (), is a railway terminal in Istanbul, Turkey. The terminal is located in Sirkeci, on the tip of Istanbul's historic peninsula, right next to the Golden Horn and just northwest of Gülhane Park and the Topkapı Palace. Istanbul Suburban
The Istanbul suburban railway, locally referred to as B1 (), was an important rail line in Istanbul, Turkey. It was operated by the Turkish State Railways and was one of Istanbul's two commuter rail lines (the other being the Haydarpaşa suburban). Carrying an average of 22,200 passengers daily, it was the second-busiest commuter railway in Turkey, after the Haydarpaşa suburban. The Istanbul Commuter Railway is a historical line, being the first rail line to be electrified and being the first commuter railway in Turkey. Marmaray () is a commuter rail line located in Istanbul, Turkey. The line runs from Halkalı, on the European side, to Gebze, on the Asian side, along the north shore of the Sea of Marmara. Mostly using the right-of-way of two existing commuter rail lines, the Marmaray line linked the two lines via a tunnel under the Bosporus strait, becoming the first standard gauge rail connection between Europe and Asia (all prior connections ran through Russia and used the incompatible Russian broad gauge).
