History Lebanon Township was divided to form North Lebanon Township and South Lebanon Township in 1840. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 21.8 square miles (56.6 km2), of which 21.8 square miles (56.4 km2) is land and 0.1 square mile (0.2 km2) (0.32%) is water.
