Soulwave
Soulwave is a Hungarian indie and folk alternative rock band from Szombathely. History Formation: 2007–2009 The band was founded in 2007 by singer Máté Fodor. Their first EP was recorded with Gábor Szeifert on bass and drummer Zsolt Mihály, titled "Butterflies EP". The EP was found by Karmatronic, the founder of Karmatronic Records, and afterwards, Soulwave released the band's first single titled ''Lonely'', and was subsequently contracted to prepare another song, which ultimately was not issued. Their first video clip was that of their song ''Lonely''. First album and troubles: 2010–2012 In 2010, their first album was released, titled ''One Night Stand''. This first shows the rock and roll and blues influence that is an important element in Soulwaves' music. A Dal 2017
Hungary was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The local Media Services and Support Trust Fund (MTVA) and the Hungarian broadcaster Duna Media Service organised the national final ''A Dal 2017'' in order to select the Hungarian entry for the 2017 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. Background Prior to the 2017 contest, Hungary had participated in the Eurovision Song Contest fourteen times since its first entry in . Hungary's best placing in the contest was fourth, which they achieved with their début entry in 1994 with the song "Kinek mondjam el vétkeimet?" performed by Friderika Bayer. Hungary had attempted participate in the contest in 1993, however, their entry was eliminated in the preselection show ''Kvalifikacija za Millstreet''. Hungary withdrew from the contest for six years between 1999 and 2004 and also missed the 2006 and 2010 contests. Szombathely

Alternative Rock
Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Alternative rock acts achieved mainstream success in the 1990s with the likes of the grunge subgenre in the United States, and the Britpop and shoegaze subgenres in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Ocho Macho
Ocho Macho is a Hungarian pop band formed in Kőszeg, Hungary in 2003 playing a unique mixture of reggae, ska, Latin, and punk musical genres, which they call "huppogás". The name was given by former bassist Attila Milos which is an incorrect Spanish expression for "eight males". In correct Spanish it would be "Ocho Machos". History The band was founded in 2003 by percussionist Krisztián Tompa with intentions to form a party band in the Western region of Hungary. He sought for other musicians in and around Szombathely to play covers of popular songs. The band soon decided to write compositions of their own. The first bassist of the band, Attila Milos came up with the name, referring to the number and gender of the members, although it is incorrect in Spanish. After several changes in the line-up they started to establish and grow a significant fanbase in the westernmost counties of Hungary and the adjacent regions of Austria.
