''Sotter Mrittu Nei'' is a 1996 Bangladeshi film starring Salman Shah and Shahnaz. It became a controversial film regarding its topic. Many a man hanged them to suicide after watching injustice with Salman's character in the film. It was a blockbuster hit and collected almost ৳11.50 crore with adjusted inflation, making it the 3rd highest grossing Bangladeshi film of all time. Plot Joy accepts a murder he didn't commit to save his mother's reputation from being found out by the public that she lied about his involvement. However, she saves him from being hanged for the crime after proving his innocence. Shahriar Chowdhury Emon (19 September 1971 – 6 September 1996) known by his stage name Salman Shah was a Bangladeshi film and television actor. He started his career with the first episode of the television serial ''Pathor Shomoy''. He got breakthrough for his role in the film ''Keyamat Theke Keyamat''. His death in 1996 was ruled as a suicide, a claim that is disputed by his family. Early life and career Shah was born as Shahriar Chowdhury Emon on 19 September 1971 in Zakiganj, Sylhet, Bangladesh to Nilufar Zaman Chowdhury and Kamaruddin Chowdhury. Alamgir (born 4 April 1950) is a Bangladeshi film actor and television host. Anwar Hossain (6 December 1931 – 13 September 2013) was a Bangladeshi actor, best known for playing the role of Siraj ud-Daulah in the Bengali film Nawab Sirajuddaula (1967).
