Sore Thumb (rock Formation)
Greenville Valley () is the large mainly ice-free valley lying south of Elkhorn Ridge in the Convoy Range of Victoria Land, Antarctica. A lobe of the Northwind Glacier flows a short distance west into the mouth of the valley. Near the head of the valley the south wall is breached by the entrance to Merrell Valley. It was explored in 1957 by the New Zealand Northern Survey Party of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition, 1956–58, and was named by them after the USNS ''Greenville Victory'', a freighter in the main American convoy into McMurdo Sound McMurdo Sound is a sound in Antarctica. It is the southernmost navigable body of water in the world, and is about from the South Pole. Captain James Clark Ross discovered the sound in February 1841, and named it after Lt. ''Sore Thumb'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band Oso Oso, released on March 18, 2022, through Triple Crown Records. Background ''Sore Thumb'' was envisioned as a way to relieve the pressure of following up on its predecessor; to experiment and have fun without the prospect of it being released. Lilitri spent a month recording with his cousin Tavish Maloney, and reunited with engineer Billy Mannino, whom he'd worked with on ''The Yunahon Mixtape'' (2017). Maloney died one month later, which led Lilitri to package the recordings as the next Oso Oso album, as a tribute to his relative: "“The making of this record is a now a memory of a time that I hold closer to my heart than anything," he said. The album was surprise released on March 18, 2022.
