Songling, Suzhou
Songling Town () was built from 618 AD to 626 AD, the oldest town in Wujiang District, Suzhou, Jiangsu. Wujiang District People's Government is now located in it, and it is the political and cultural center of Wujiang District. Urban area is now 34.35 square kilometers, planning area is more than 100 square kilometers. Wujiang District, Suzhou
Wujiang District (; Suzhounese: ''Wukaon Chiu''), formerly Wujiang City, is one of five urban districts in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. As the southernmost county-level division of Jiangsu, it borders Shanghai to the northeast and Zhejiang province to the south and southwest. The total area of Wujiang is 1176.68 square kilometers, with a population of 1.5 million. Wujiang is currently one of the most economically successful cities in China. Songling (), a town located at the centre of Wujiang, serves as the seat of the district government. Suzhou
Suzhou is a major prefecture-level city in southern Jiangsu province, China. As part of the Yangtze Delta megalopolis, it is a major economic center and focal point of trade and commerce. Siji Kaiyuan Hotel () was a hotel in Songling, Suzhou, Jiangsu, China. On 12 July 2021, an annex to the hotel collapsed due to illegal construction, killing 17 people and injuring another five. Background Nearby merchants said that the collapsed building was very old and was being renovated. The first floor was the main hall, which was used to open a hotel, and the second and third floors were used for accommodation.
