"Sometimes She Forgets" is a song written by Steve Earle, who recorded it on his 1995 ''Train a Comin''' album. The highest-charting version of the song was recorded by American country music artist Travis Tritt, and was released in August 1995 as the lead-off single from his compilation album '' Greatest Hits: From the Beginning''. It peaked at number 7 in the United States, and at number 6 in Canada. Background In the liner notes from his acoustic album ''Train a Comin''', Earle indicates that he wrote the song in 1979. At that time, he was a staff writer in Nashville, before he had a recording contract. Earle did not record the song on his first four studio albums, but an early version was included on a set of demos, ''Uncut Gems'', in the early 1990s. Earle's management circulated the demos to other artists when Earle's career was threatened by his drug use and he had been dropped from his label. James Travis Tritt (born February 9, 1963) is an American country music singer and songwriter. He signed to Warner Bros. Records in 1989, releasing seven studio albums and a greatest hits package for the label between then and 1999. In the 2000s, he released three studio albums on Columbia Records and one for the now-defunct Category 5 Records. Seven of his albums (counting the Greatest Hits) are certified platinum or higher by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA); the highest-certified is 1991's '' It's All About to Change'', which is certified triple-platinum. "Tequila Sunrise" is a 1973 song written by Don Henley and Glenn Frey, and recorded by the Eagles. It was the first single from the band's second album, '' Desperado''. The song peaked at number 64 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. A cover version was recorded by country music singer Alan Jackson on the 1993 tribute album '' Common Thread: The Songs of the Eagles''. It peaked at number 64 on the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. Background Glenn Frey and Don Henley did not write songs together for their debut album, ''Eagles'', and they decided that they should collaborate after they had finished recording the debut album in London. The Eagles are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1971. With five number-one singles and six number-one albums, six Grammy Awards and five American Music Awards, the Eagles were one of the most successful musical acts of the 1970s in North America.
