''The Colbys'' is an American prime time television soap opera that originally aired on ABC from November 20, 1985, to March 26, 1987. Produced by Aaron Spelling, it was a spin-off of ''Dynasty'', which had been the highest rated series for the 1984–1985 U.S. television season. ''The Colbys'' revolves around another vastly wealthy, upper-class family, who are relatives by marriage to the Carringtons of ''Dynasty'' and who own a large multinational conglomerate. It stars Charlton Heston as billionaire Jason Colby, Barbara Stanwyck as his sister Constance, Stephanie Beacham as Jason's wife Sable, and John James and Emma Samms as their ''Dynasty'' characters Jeff Colby and Fallon Carrington. Designed to be bigger than the original show, ''The Colbys'' was ultimately a ratings disappointment, and was cancelled after two seasons and 49 episodes. Stephanie Beacham
Stephanie Beacham (born 28 February 1947) is an English actress. In a career spanning six decades, she has a wide number of credits to her name on film, television, stage and radio in both the United Kingdom and the United States. Oliver Clark
Oliver Clark (born Richard Mardirosian; January 4, 1939) is an American character actor. Early life Clark was born in Buffalo, New York, the son of Afro (née Karahos) and Matthew Mardirosian. He is of Armenian heritage. His brother, Tom Mardirosian, is also an actor. Career Clark made numerous appearances in film and television, particularly in the 1970s (notably as Mr. Farcus in the 1970 movie '' The Landlord'', as Mr. Small in the 1971 film ''They Might Be Giants'', and in the 1976 remake of '' A Star Is Born''). Don Medford
Donald Muller (November 26, 1917 – December 12, 2012), known professionally as Don Medford, was an American television director who directed over 75 TV series between 1951 and 1989, and who also directed three theatrical films. Medford directed the final two-part episode of the 1960s television series ''The Fugitive (1963 TV series), The Fugitive'' and the final episode of the 1980s television series ''The Colbys''. ''The Blade'', also known as the ''Toledo Blade'', is a newspaper in Toledo, Ohio, published daily online and printed Thursday and Sunday by Block Communications. The newspaper was first published on December 19, 1835. Overview The first issue of what was then the ''Toledo Blade'' was printed on December 19, 1835. It has been published daily since 1848 and is the oldest continuously run business in Toledo. David Ross Locke gained national fame for the paper during the Civil War era by writing under the pen name Petroleum V. Nasby. Under this name, he wrote satires ranging on topics from slavery, to the Civil War, to temperance. President Abraham Lincoln was fond of the Nasby satires and sometimes quoted them. Dennis Turner, Baron Bilston (26 August 1942 – 25 February 2014) was a British Labour Co-operative politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Wolverhampton South East from 1987 to 2005. Early life Turner was born in Bradley in the Black Country and lived there his entire life. He was the son of Thomas Herbert Turner and Mary Elizabeth Peasley. Ballantine Books is a major American book publisher that is a subsidiary of German media conglomerate Bertelsmann. Ballantine was founded in 1952 by Ian Ballantine with his wife, Betty Ballantine.
