Solakrossen
Solakrossen or Sola is the administrative center of Sola municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located at the south end of the Hafrsfjorden on the Stavanger Peninsula, just northwest of the city of Sandnes. The large Stavanger Airport, Sola is located on the west side of the village. The village of Sørnes lies just to the north. Sola Church lies on the far western edge of Solakrossen. Hafrsfjorden
Hafrsfjord or Hafrsfjorden is a fjord in the Stavanger Peninsula in Rogaland county, Norway. The long fjord forms the border between the municipalities of Stavanger and Sola. On the west side of the fjord is the large village of Tananger, on the south is the village of Solakrossen, and on the east end of the fjord is the borough of Madla in the city of Stavanger. The Møllebukta bay area, located on the innermost part of the fjord, is the site of a popular beach and the Sverd i Fjell statues. The only bridge over the fjord is the Hafrsfjord Bridge which runs between Kvernevik in Stavanger and Jåsund in the village of Tananger in Sola. Sola Church
Sola Church () is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Sola Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Solakrossen. It is the church for the Sola parish which is part of the Tungenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The gray concrete church was built in a rectangular design in 2020 using designs by the architectural firm ''Brandsbergs-Dahl Arkitekter''. The church seats about 300 people. The church was built to replace the Old Sola Church as the main church for the parish. The old church, built around the year 1140, was located outside of the village on the other side of the airport. Sørnes is a village in Sola municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located at the southeastern end of the Hafrsfjorden, about southwest of the city of Stavanger. The village is a part of the larger Stavanger/Sandnes metropolitan area. The village lies just west of the European route E39 highway and a short distance north of the village of Solakrossen. Sandnes () is a city and municipality in Rogaland, Norway. It lies immediately south of Stavanger, the 4th largest municipality in Norway, and together the Stavanger/Sandnes area is the third-largest urban area in Norway. Stavanger Airport (; ), commonly known simply as Sola, is an international airport located in Rogaland county, Norway. The airport is located southwest of the centre of the city of Stavanger inside the neighboring municipality of Sola and serves the Stavanger, Sola, Sandnes area as well as serves as a regional hub for southwestern Norway. It is Norway's third-busiest airport and 9th busiest in the Nordic countries, with both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopter traffic for the offshore North Sea oil installations. Stavanger Peninsula () is a peninsula in Rogaland County, Norway. The peninsula is named for the city of Stavanger, located on its northeastern shore and it includes the most populous parts of the Greater Stavanger urban area. The peninsula extends from a line between the Sandnes harbour at the southern end of the Gandsfjorden straight west to the village of Ølbør in Sola municipality.
