Soico Televisão
Soico Televisão, abbreviated STV (styled in mixed case as Stv) is a Mozambican commercial terrestrial television network founded in 2002 by Daniel David's Grupo Soico. History Soico TV started on October 25, 2002, after a month of experimental broadcasts, by former TVM employee Daniel David. Initially, the channel's programming was entirely in English, due to an affiliation agreement with the South African pan-African television network TVAfrica (at the time CTV Africa), with which it established a strong partnership. TVAfrica owned a 20% stake in the station. Within months, the channel quickly consolidated itself as a competitor to TVM, in terms of programming, as it had more liberties in creating programs as opposed to TVM, which caused the public sector to rearrange its structure. Mozambique

Daniel David (15 February 1966) was born in Maputo, Mozambique. He is a CEO & Chairman of DHD Holding and SOICO Group. And he is one of the main voices of the region advocating for sustainable development, economic growth, innovation and the use of technology for the digital transformation of Africa. Televisão de Moçambique (TVM, lit. "Television of Mozambique") is the national public broadcaster of Mozambique. It is headquartered in Maputo, the country's capital. The station was launched in 1981 as Experimental Television of Mozambique (Televisão Experimental de Moçambique) with experimental programming aired on Sundays only. Gradually its broadcasting weekdays increased and it adopted its current name Television of Mozambique in 1991. In 2001 the station started broadcasting via satellite, reaching the entire country. The network receives 60 percent of its operational financing from the government and the remaining 40 percent from advertisers and other commercial sources. TVAfrica was a pan-African television network founded in 1998 by former advertising executive Dave Kelly alongside sports broadcaster Berry Lambert. The network relayed up to 80% of its content to private television stations in sub-Saharan Africa and also licensed the broadcast of sporting events (excluding South Africa due to licensing regulations) to interested broadcasters. M-Net (an abbreviation of Electronic Media Network) is a South African pay television channel established by Naspers in 1986. The channel broadcasts both local and international programming, including general entertainment, children's series, sport and movies.
