Slávičie údolie Cemetery
Slávičie údolie cemetery (, literally "Nightingale Valley") is a cemetery in the Karlova Ves borough in Bratislava, Slovakia. It covers and is the largest cemetery in Bratislava. The cemetery was built in 1912 for poorer inhabitants of Bratislava, and it was called "cemetery of the poor". In World War I soldiers were buried there. Today it is the final resting place for List of Slovaks, prominent Slovak artists, scientists, soldiers, airmen and politicians. Ján Langoš
Ján Langoš (2 August 1946, in Banská Bystrica – 15 June 2006, in Drienovec) was a Slovak politician associated with the Slovakia Democratic Party. He was one of the key dissidents during the era of Communist Czechoslovakia. He served as a minister at Department of Home Affairs (1990–1992) of former Czech and Slovak Federative Republic, appointed by president Václav Havel. After the dissolution of Czechoslovakia he was a member of Parliament and established the Democratic Party. After many years of conviction he succeeded in establishing the National Memory Institute. After finding documentations of crimes of several influential people and trying to open these to the public, he died in a suspicious car accident. Jozef Kroner
Jozef Kroner (20 March 1924 in Staškov – 12 March 1998 in Bratislava) was a Slovakia, Slovak actor. His brother Ľudovít Kroner, daughter Zuzana Kronerová, and wife Terézia Hurbanová-Kronerová were also actors. He starred in the Oscar-winning film ''The Shop on Main Street'', and in more than 50 other Cinema of Slovakia, Slovak films, as well as in several Czech, Bulgarian and Hungarian productions. He never studied acting; his career started in amateur theater troupes. His biography ''Jozef Kroner's Tracks'' (''Trate Jozefa Kronera'') was produced by director Fero Fenič in 1987. Jozef Kroner is also an author of several mostly autobiographic books. Fraňo Kráľ
Fraňo Kráľ (9 March 1903 – 3 January 1955) was a Slovak poet, novelist and politician who was a leading representative of Socialist realist literature in Czechoslovakia. Biography He was born in Ohio, United States, in the family of Slovak immigrants. At the age of two, he returned to Slovakia with his mother in the city of Smrečany, while the family's financial situation was very poor. After receiving his primary education, Kráľ started to work as a teacher after his graduation from the pedagogical school in Spišská Nová Ves. During his studies, due to his poor diet, he contracted typhus, which left permanent traces in his body, and later lung disease was a direct consequence of it. He enlisted in the military, but soon contracted tuberculosis. He was treated in Tatranské Matliary. He later moved to the Czech sanatorium Prosečnice.
